Vichy Ideal Soleil Ultra Light Lotion SPF 50 is a perfect lotion for the face! I used this lotion daily with and without makeup and I was pleased with the smoothness and effectiveness of the lotion. I would buy this lotion to use as a daily lotion with SPF!

When purchasing sunscreen, there are a few things that are important to me.

First, I love that this product doesn’t have parabens. I don’t like to worry about what products are doing to my body.

Second, I love that it’s scent-free. I love to go to the office during summer without smelling like I’d rather be in the Caribbean.

Third, I love the consistency and the texture. This product is runny and absorbs right into the skin so it feels like you’re wearing nothing on your face and you don’t look like you’re a sweaty, sticky blob in the office.

Fourth, I like to share sunscreen with my mum when we travel during the summer. As she is very allergic to most sunscreen products, this was a pleasant surprise – she had no reaction whatsoever.

Fifth, as I have olive skin, my skin tans far too much in the summer until I look like a different person. Every other sunscreen I’ve tried doesn’t stop this. This product is different – my skin looks happy, healthy, and its normal colour. Skin damage protection is paramount to keeping my skin healthy and youthful for years to come. This product has made a world of difference.

Ultimately, it does what it says on the label. Although this product is traditionally out of my price range as a grad student, I loved this product far more than any drugstore sunscreen I've tried over the years. I’m either going to buy this product in the future (when this bottle runs out!) or I’ll definitely buy it when my finances are more secure.

I received Vichy Idéal Soleil Ultra Light Lotion SPF 50 free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club.

First of all, let me start by saying that I like almost everything Vichy. It is a brand I totally trust and I have been using it for well over ten years. I have also been using their Vichy Idéal Soleil Ultra Light Lotion SPF 50 for a while. I could hardly ask for a better product and that is coming from someone who has a very serious case of photosensitivity due to an autoimmune illness. I don't pretend that it is perfect, but for someone like me, this is as close as it gets to perfection for sun protection.

I have tried countless sunscreens before finally deciding on Vichy as a keeper. Just like the Sheer Lotion Bare Skin Feel SPF 60, some of its best features, aside from the fact that it is indeed a really good sun protection, are that it is not oily, sticky, nor greasy. It absorbs smoothly and easily. This one is very fluid and is easily applied, just like any foundation, moisturizer or BB/CC creams. No offensive fragrance either.

I do not have one bad thing to say about this product. While some people may find the price a little steep compared to popular brands, I believe this is a great example of getting what you paid for. It is totally worth the expense.

I find this quite comparable to my usual UV lotion (Biore Aqua Rich Watery Gel) which is also SPF 50. I was excited to be trying another one, as this one is readily available at my local drug store. Compared to other UV lotions I have tried, they are usually quite thick and greasy. I.e. they make your face shine quite a bit. I liked using this one, as it was light and easy to apply. I found this one to be long lasting as claimed, and best of all, it didn't make me breakout!

I would definitely recommend this one as it works great and is so easy to apply.

I received this product for free as part of the Product review Club. I have very fair skin and easily burn if I have anything less than SPF 50 on. This product definitely did the job! The lotion is a touch greasy on my face but other than that I love it. It also doesn't have a strong smell and despite being a little greasy, it's pretty lightweight on my skin. It is a little pricey so I'm not sure if I'd purchase it in the future but it's definitely effective!

I used it on my face without my usual moisturizer. I really wish this product provided moisture as well, but it didn't. My skin felt really dry and wrinkles were more pronounced. It did work as a sunscreen though. My facial skin has a few breakouts after it as well.

I have the sort of skin that burns in an instant. When I wear sunscreen (and I mean good, high SPF stuff) I can usually get away with ten minutes in the sun before I start to turn a nasty shade of red. So I'm always excited to try a new sunscreen, hoping for something more. The Vichy Ideal Soleil performed as well as any other brand I've tried. Wear it gets bonus points though, is that it worked just ask well but didn't feel greasy or gross. I couldn't even tell I had it on. If the price wasn't so high (around $30 according to the info included with the products I received from Chick Advisor) I'd definitely make this my regular sunscreen.

I received this product as part of the Product Review Club. As someone with a very fair complexion sun protection is extremely important to me. I am able to stay outside for hours while wearing the Ideal Soleil Ultra Light Lotion without getting burned. I wear this product on my face mainly and I could not be more thrilled with the results. I the consistency allows me to still apply my favourite foundation over top and does not break me out. I definitely recommend this product!

I work outside for a living riding and taking care of horses. My skin is almost exposed to the sun all day everyday. I need a lotion for my face that I can trust that won't allow it to burn. I take pride in my skin so I am very cautious about sun exposure. When I first put on the lotion I thought it was such a light lotion that it may not work - but it totally did. I never experienced a sunburn and I really like the lotion. The only thing is you have to be careful not too lose any lotion as it is so light it comes out very fast. Other than that I am totally a fan.

Vichy Idéal Soleil Ultra Light Lotion has an amazingly light consistency. It spreads really easily and the SPF level is quite impressive! I have used this product mainly as a sunscreen for the face. It was not as hydrating, but then again, most sunscreens aren't expected to be either. The scent is like that of a typical sunscreen, but consistency is what I loved! Overall - definitely a must-try. Easy on the skin and did not break me out which is the most important thing for me.
