I received the Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep for free as part of ChickAdvisor's product review club. The cream smells amazing, like rose petals, so I was quite happy to put it on my face. I found it thinner than other night creams, so it took a little while to get used to dipping my fingers in the jar and being careful not to let any drip on my counter. It's lightweight on my skin, which is nice if you don't like the heaviness of other night cream moisturizers. I don't think it did any better or worse of a job moisturizing my skin at night, and since at this point, my skin care routine is preventative maintenance, not repair, I can't say if it does a better job than other for wrinkles and fine lines. If it was on sale and I needed a night moisturizer I would pick it up again as it was pleasant to use, but since I think it retails for more than the average drugstore brand, I won't be rushing out to buy it any time soon.
I love the creamy texture and the smell. Smooth and silky going on, does not make my face feel tight at all. Helps create a relaxing feeling and helps moisturize my skin through the night.
I used the product every night for 3 weeks and I didn't find a whole lot of difference.
My skin didn't seem any softer, then before. Some fine lines were lessened.
Skin tone didn't change/even out, so I'm not sure what the cream was claiming to do.
It's difficult for me to target it's effectiveness because I was fortunate enough to receive this product to test with the Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep. Using them together, my skin is no longer itchy and dry. My skin prior to these products was combination to dry - oily in the T zone and dry in others. Using both products has left my skin more even toned. I'm excited to see what my skin will look like after using the entire bottle.
Packaging: I love the cute jar! But like I said about the life serum, if putting the product in a plastic package would bring down the price point, I'd love that even more.
Texture & scent: I was really surprised by the heaviness of the cream; it's quite thick. I was hesitant at first because I've used heavy creams before and I ended up looking like a used cooking oil on my face. But I was happy that it actually mattified me! The smell... oh the smell! I love it!
What I forgot to mention in my life serum review is that I have sensitive skin that, as I mentioned, was oily in my T zone. I love these products together because it didn't irritate my skin, mattified me and took away my dry spots.
I'm looking forward to seeing what my skin will look and feel like after the bottle is used up. I'm half hoping that I'm not too impressed by it because of one thing... PRICE POINT! Ah!
UPDATE (April 20, 2016) - While I should've been using this every night, I haven't. BUT, I have been using it more frequently and it seriously changed the texture of my skin. I do find that when I take a shower the next morning, you can definitely feel this wash off in a slick film which might turn some people off but it doesn't bother me if it did it's job. I got a compliment the other day that my skin was looking amazing, so that always helps. I also used it during the day in the dead of winter when dry patches started showing up. This definitely made a difference. I'm still trying to stretch it out because of the price point. LOL.
I have been using this product for about two weeks. I have had only success with the serum as well as the night cream. When I first started using this product, it was a little heavy for my skin however after a few nights i was using the serum with my day cream as well as in the night-time. It is an excellent product and I would have no hesitation recommending this product to anyone.
I received the Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep for free through ChickAdvisor. I found the smell of the Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep to be quite strong, it was hard to relax. I had a reaction to the lotion, which dried my skin out more than making it hydrated like the advertisement said. I did however enjoy the slinky smooth texture of the lotion. It was easy to put on and not go on too thick. I saw it in the store, and it would be out of my market to buy on a regular basis, though pretty comparable to the competition. I personally wouldn't purchase it again, but if you have regular skin that is not sensitive I would probably recommend giving it a try.
I was lucky to try this product for free. The pink and silver tub was very pretty and elegant. The cream was very soft and whipped. It glided on nicely and spread evenly. It was non greasy and a little goes a long way. It absorbs nicely into your skin and does leave your skin feeling moisturized.
I have been using it for 2 and a half weeks now.
I was thrilled to be chosen to test this product but was very disappointed to see absolutely no change in my skin. I do not see my skin as more suple, or less fatigued and upon awakening I have not noticed more radiant, smooth and rested skin.
In general I did not notice any difference between the vichy skin sleep and my old nightly moisturizer I was using before.
I love Vichy and have used many of their products in the past. This blew me away from the get go because it smells absolutely divine!!!! Another fantastic rejuvenating product from a brand that knows how to keep my loyalty. Velvety and smooth, thank you for letting me try the Idealia Skin Sleep
II was one of the lucky women picked to try Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep for free.
I used the Skin Sleep for a full two weeks instead of my usual product and I'm happy I did.
I applied the cream right before bed and went to sleep for my usual five hours a night.
When I woke up in the morning it looked as though I had gotten a good nights sleep, which really I didn't.
I am happy with Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep and will continue using it.
I started off liking this product. It smelt really good and went on easy. It didn't make my skin feel as though there was anything on it. But waking up in the morning, my face was shiny and noticed a few new breakouts. I do have oily skin already and I'm always cautious what moisturizers I wear. I thought this would be a good product to wear to bed considering it was for all skin types. I may not buy this for the summer as it's already hot out and I don't need extra moisturizing, but I would definitely try this product in the drier winter months
