This is a light cream that did not cause any problems for my sensitive skin. I took photos before using and 2 weeks later; did not see any difference, so either it takes longer, or there is minimal change. Skin does feel smooth, so if you are looking for what I would consider a "lightweight" night creme, this is one possible choice. I will rate it as "thumbsup" because it did not do any harm, but I would like to compare it with other brands.

For reference I have combination/oily skin that is also very dehydrated, acne prone and reactive (sensitive). I have loss of tone from aging and minimal lines plus pigmentation issues from acne scarring to melasma. I actually feel that loss of tone is more aging than wrinkles so I'd actually rather have the latter, but it's not like we get to choose.

I'm a total skin care junkie, so I've tried an endless amount of products trying to find the one's that will give me the best results. I've been using Vichy's Idealia Skin Sleep for such a short time that I'm actually astonished at the results I've had so far! For starters it's very rare for me to see a difference in my own skin when I start a new product, unless it makes me break out or have some irritation issues. But, to see very obvious, beneficial results from a product is extremely rare to come by for me. It can also be tough to notice a difference in our own skin since we look in the mirror daily and may not notice minor changes happening over time. Not only do I see a difference but I have had comments from others, which I feel is even more telling. My Doctor whom I've been going to for over 10 years, is male and has never said anything about my skin before told me that my skin looked great! My hairstylist said "wow, you look great" although she didn't say why. hmmmm. must be the Idealia Skin Sleep as nothing else has changed.

As for the changes that I see and feel myself, they are plenty! My skin is more plump and hydrated in appearance and to the touch. My skin feels so nice, plump, and smooth that it's hard for me not to touch my cheek every now and then because I'm not used to my skin feeling so smooth (I'm trying to keep my hand off though!) My skin tone is much brighter and clearer and even toned. Some other notable differences are that my nose to mouth lines have softened and my neck/chin area looks more toned. Those are some of the areas that bother me the most. Although there is only so much you can expect from a topical product when is comes to slackening skin, I was pleasantly surprised to start seeing a difference in these areas!

The product has a very soft pleasant fragrance and is gel like in texture. It absorbs right into the skin but at the same time it seems to leave a protective layer on the surface of the skin as if it's sealing in the moisture. When I wake up, my skin is still moisturized! Some days, I choose to apply a light oil on top of it to seal in the benefits even more. Either way, I wake up with hydrated, plumped up skin. And, my sensitive/reactive skin did not have one breakout or any irritation whatsoever. This cream is actually quite soothing to my sensitive skin and seems to be helping to heal an old breakout that doesn't want to completely leave.

The product is supposed to make you look like you had sleep even if you didn't. At first I didn't agree with this claim, but now that I've been using it a little bit longer I would say that I actually find some truth to this claim. I am frequently sleep deprived and I see it on my face more than anything- It makes me look more dehydrated and as a result I look older. Now, I notice that after a bad nights sleep it doesn't show as much on my face. I can't believe I'm saying this as I didn't believe this claim and as I mentioned I didn't see it at first. I can definitely say that I do look better than I normally do after a bad nights sleep since using Idealia Skin Sleep.

Vichy's Idealia Skin Sleep is one of the best skin products I've tried so far and I can't wait to see how my skin will look after I finish the whole container, it seems like it will last me quite a bit longer. :)

So I got to try this product free through Chickadvisors Product Review Club, and so far I've been quite impressed! This is a night cream, so its definitely too heavy to wear during the day. It's a pale pink cream with a very pretty scent. It absorbs pretty quickly without leaving a sticky, greasy feeling like a lot of night creams. I do have pretty oily skin, so when I wake up in the morning, after using Skin Sleep, my skin is fairly oily. After washing it, my skin is SO soft, and feels very fresh, smooth and plump. I've been using it for a couple weeks now, and I definitely do see a difference in the feel of my skin, and how smoothly my makeup goes on. It's a bit pricey, at around $50 a jar, but as far as night creams go, this is definitely the best one I've used so far. I would recommend this for sure.

Light going on and hydrated my skin enough without feeling heavy. Loved the gel consistency. I did t see any directions really sent with my sample but would of likes to have known if to place near under eyes or neck and chest area.
I didn't get any acne or rash as I have both skin issues at times
I'm a little sensitive to frangrance that would be my only minus on this product. However it didn't affect my skin in any way. My skin looked brighter and my pores seemed smaller after using it a few Weeks. Thank you

Thank you Chickadvisor for sending me this product to try out. I really liked the light weightedness of this skin cream. It isn't as thick as some night creams I've used but it still has a lot of moisturizing properties and felt really creamy and smooth when I put it on. It doesn't feel overly greasy. It has a faint aroma so people who are sensitive to perfumes might not like this product but I didn't experience any problems with it.

I think it would be a great product to use year round including the winter when my skin gets more dry as I use a more gel/aqueous based product most of the time. If you like creams that provide good moisture, without the heaviness or greasiness of other night creams, you might want to try this.

I was thrilled to try the Vichy Skin sleep

The packaging is elegant, feminine and in a lovely shade of pink. After trying it for 2 weeks I have only positive comments. The cream is rich with a lovely nuance of pink and a soft fragrance. It is concentrated and I could feel my skin sponging the cream quite easily. I woke up to refreshed and soft skin. I have sensitive skin and at times have an adverse reaction to certain creams but, I am happy to say, that this was not the case. Vichy Skin Sleep is just that – a luxurious cream you apply before going to sleep and waking up with beautiful skin. A wonderful compliment to the Vichy serum.

I tested it for 2 weeks, I liked the way it felt on my skin and it works well with the Idealia LIfe Serum, but I have to say that the product is too expensive compared to other products that I use and that are just as effective. Vichy is a great company but I find they put too much emphasis on packaging (the jar is beautiful and with a mirror on the cover is a nice touch) but I just want to pay for a product not the packaging. I would be willing to pay up to $25.00 but not $52.00.

I recieved skin sleep around 2 weeks ago to test out. I must say I do love it. I have indeed noticed a difference in my skin tone, it appears more even and smooth and it feels soft. I love the smell, it's a natural rose scent.
I will recommend this cream to my mom to try as well since she has more mature skin, it would be interesting to see what her thoughts are.
I do have a few breakouts but I think they are from post partum hormones and unrelated to the creams. I also have very sensitive skin with redness and its prone to break outs. The skin sleep seems to help the redness in my skin, when I wake up it looks even and clear. Great product.

I've been using this product for almost 2 weeks now. (along with the Vichy Idealia Life Serum I also received free from chickadvisor , but this review is for the Skin sleep)

The product has a nice fragrance which may be a little strong for some, but once applied, the scent disappears.

I found this product very concentrated, and a little bit goes a long way. My skin feels a little tighter after application, and when I wake up, my skin feels brighter than the usual dullness I'd normally wake to.

I've found my pores seem smaller now than they were before using this cream. I feel that with continued use they'll be even less noticeable.

I haven't experienced any more breakouts than normal while using this gel-Balm.

I think it is a very nice product. The cost is a little higher than I'd normally spend, but with it being so concentrated, it goes a long way.

I would recommend this product.

I was really interested in trying this as I am not normally a night cream user. Often night creams are too heavy for me and cause me to perspire & break out.

After using the Idealia Skin Sleep for 2 weeks, I found it very rich, but I haven't had any breakouts at all. Although I find it to be a little heavy, it works beautifully. After using it in conjunction with the Idealia Life Serum my skin has been looking great. My skin is looking so much smoother and healthier on my face I thought I would try it on my hands too & they have benefited as well. All in all a very good cream and a pleasant surprise. I will continue to use it. I love the Vichy scent and have no sensitivities at all to it.
