Terrible astringent. Definitely dislike this line. Nice move putting lotion as the name of an astringent .. After I used these three products it had nearly ruined the effects of my peel I had like two months ago with the amount of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation from the insane breakouts these super harsh products gave me.
I received this product as part of the Product Review Club and was excited to try this new line. I was very disappointed in this product in particular as the second ingredient (after water) is denatured alcohol. Even oily skin needs hydration, and the strength of the alcohol in this product stung my skin, dried it out and aggravated any acne I already had. It took days to get back to normal, and lots of soothing sheet masks. Buy a bottle of isopropyl alcohol, dilute it a bit and you will have a comparable product. Toners (which this is, despite the long name) should prepare the skin for serums and creams that you are putting on afterwards, which means that the pH should be slightly acidic, closer to the normal range (around pH 4.5-5). The "good" bacteria on your skin that helps defend your skin needs this pH range to function normally. I would not recommend this product AT ALL!
I didn't really see the need for this particular step. While my results were poor (increased acne, dry and flaky rashes), I don't think this step was part of the problem. I used it religiously in the system, but it never appeared to be removing any more dirt and i definitely didn't see any pore tightening effect. There are probably far more cost effective and skin friendly alternatives available.
10/10 do not recommend for sensitive skin. It gave me an awful allergic reaction, which just aggravated my acne and made it even harder to get rid of.
