Great size pan
This is the perfect size pan. I never had anything stick ie eggs, grill cheese, pork chops and even bacon. It did get a little white staining but still works great and I would definitely recommend this pan to anyone.
Worth it!
I did receive this pan for free in exchange for my honest review from Butterly. I've been wanting to start using more stainless steel pots and pans instead of the usual Teflon. It's so easy to scratch teflon and get particles of it in your food, which can be carcinogenic. This pan feels nice and sturdy. It's pretty heavy too. The 18/10 stainless steel interior gives me peace of mind knowing that it's of higher quality. I also think the size is perfect, enough to hold a meal for a few people. I've used it to make a chicken quasadilia, and it was perfect. It does take a while to heat up, however, if you have the patience to wait, it's far less likely to have food sticking to it! A huge pro with stainless steel is that I dont have to be worried about scratching it while cleaning it as well. It is fairly expensive given that this frying pan is sold for $65 in Canada, however this type of pan should last longer than the cheaper ones, which i'll be curious to see.Overall, i'm really enjoying this frying pan and would consider buying more from this set.
Versatile and A Kitchen Favourite
I was excited to receive the 28cm (11") Vida by PADERNO Elite Series Stainless Steel Frying Pan for free from Butterly in exchange for an honest review. I have always found it challenging to use stainless steel pans because I'm never patient enough to wait for the pan to heat up before adding ingredients to it. But I'm learning. If you give the pan time to heat up before coating the bottom with oil and adding ingredients to cook, the food should not stick. And because it's 18/10 stainless steel, you don't have to worry about Teflon flakes getting into your food. Plus it is oven and dishwasher safe, and can be used on electric, gas, ceramic and induction cooktops.
Got used to it quick
Never Cooked with a pan like this before, but I’m hooked. And will definitely change to using this type of pan in the future. I felt like a true chef while using it!
Not What I Expected
Let's start with the positive. The pan looks and feels to be quite durable. It's solid and has a good weight to it.
The negative: For my trial cooking, I decided on eggs. I used oil while eating (which I don't normally use with my other pans). Unfortunately, half my eggs stuck to the pan. What was even worse, was that I could not scrub it off. Food was not burnt, so I don't understand what could have gone wrong. I still have my original steel pan from nearly 30 years ago and it still looks amazing. If this pan required way more oil than what I used, then I can't see this pan being good for healthy meals.
Quality Pan
This is a great lightweight, stainless steel pan that does well on the stovetop or in the oven and is dishwasher safe. It is a good size and can hold quite a bit while still maintaining even heat distribution. If you heat it up correctly, there is no issue with food sticking, making it very easy to clean.
Big fan, would definitely recommend!
Pleasantly Surprised with this Quality Frypan
I was so excited to be selected to try this Paderno Elite Frypan!
I have to admit, when I first received this frypan I was a little unsure simply due to its light weight. I own an older set of stainless steel, copper core cookware which I love, but they’re very heavy due to the thick base. I wondered if the light weight of this Paderno Elite Series Frypan meant less even cooking. Boy was I wrong! I fell in love with this pan the first time I used it. I sauteed mushrooms and onions, and I was extremely impressed with the quick heat up and even cooking of this pan. Enough so, that I’m considering buying the whole set!
The pan is very well made and comfortable to hold. I would highly recommend this frypan and the whole set. It would be money well spent and I’m confident these would easily last 20 years + without needing any replacements.
Great cooking pan , non stick
The heat is evenly distributed and nom stick. Although the bottom part is difficult to clean after fry on a high heat. However the size and nom stick feature is amazing.
Amazing frying pan
This frying pan is awesome! First off it looks beautiful! Its super sturdy but not TOO heavy. It heast ups exceptionally fast and as long as you follow recommendations for iron clad food ware its easy to clean!
Loved this pan
Thank you butterly for the chance to test the Vida by PADERNO Elite Series 3-Layer Frying Pan, Dishwasher & Oven Safe, Stainless Steel for free in exchange for my honest opinion
This pan takes some patience to use because you have to wait for it to fully heat up before adding oil and cooking.
It worked really well for me, I found that it did not stick and my food cooked rather quickly. I found it cooked very evenly and quickly as well. I look forward to trying other recipes with this pan
I like the size, it can fit a lot! This pan can also be used in the oven up to 500F
I found it very easy to clean as well, just stuck it in the dishwasher as it is dishwasher safe
Paderno is sold at Canadian tire and it’s a great brand to try out if you love cooking!
