Amazing Pan
This pan works beautifully. I cooked chicken thighs using it and it came out with the most delicious crispy skin. I am so excited to see what else I’ll use this pan for. It’s wonderful
The Best Thing in My Kitchen, Other Than Bacon
This pan is a SERIOUS work horse, but to the novice chef - don’t be intimidated!
It does function a bit differently than some of your typical kitchenware. Don’t buy this thinking it’s inexpensive non-stick cookware. Best practice is to preheat the pan over medium, THEN add oil to coat the bottom. This will prevent sticking.
I used it for cooking ground beef, searing turkey breast, and finishing pasta dishes. It goes beautifully from the stovetop to the oven. My husband (who is a professional chef) called it a “heavy restaurant style pan” and was very impressed with its versatility, size and performance.
Overall, we love this pan! With proper care, it will last years. Definitely worth it.
Effective and as expected
Light weight, works well and as expected. Not the highest quality but seems like good value for the price. The size is perfect and being able to transition from the stovetop to the oven is great for cooking proteins.
Amazing pan with user friendly handle
Amazing pan with user friendly handle. Handle doesn't get heated while frying existing pan have heating handle issue so was difficult to use. Hence I loved this product and will recommend others
Vida by PADERNO Elite Series 3-Layer Frying Pan
Ok, but not great.
I am all for a frying pan that doesn't have that nasty teflon coating on it, and this one does not. However - I do like to clean my cookware with vinegar only. This pan would not clean with just vinegar. We soaked it three times. I had to use a cream cleanser to get it back to shiny. The pan was preheated prior to adding oil and we still experienced overheating in the middle of the pan. We have an induction stove top so maybe that was the issue. Overall, I would probably not buy this pan.
Perfect frying pan to own!!

A versatile pan that inspires me to cook skilfully
The pan appears to be well made and durable, a keeper for years to come. Absolutely a great pan for those who truly enjoy cooking, and have a good understanding that a different type of skill sets is required on how to utilize it to its fullest potential. A kitchen little helper for churning out delicious meals, yet without having to determine if own bicep's can handle the scrubbing afterwards. From my own experiences, it takes an average 3-4 minutes to heat up the pan at medium heat. Then, do a running water droplet test to see it bouncing around, signalling it's time to add some fat. After, the grease has heated up, add the ingredients and adjust the heat as necessary; so food can glide on it. So far, I have tried cooking pasta, noodles, vegetables and also some protein; and I am glad that not much food get stuck onto the pan. I love the fact that it is oven safe, so I can keep the cooked food warm in the oven when I have to make room on the stove for other dishes, this is very helpful when I have guests over. Patience and skills another must to clean the pan with minimal effort especially when there's food stuck on it. Simply add some water and bring it to a boil then turn it off, leaving the pan to cool and the food should come off easily. Simply repeat the process if it's really burned and leave it overnight if necessary. I seriously enjoy the learning curve on figuring out the balance between the time and temperature to cook different cuisine using this Vida by PADERNO Elite Series 3-Layer Frying Pan.
High quality and heats evenly
This pan cooked a variety of things beautifully. I started by frying some eggs with butter on ceramic. I was very pleased with being able to put eggs around the entire pan and have them all cook evenly. The handle doesn't get hot at all compared to lower quality stainless steel pans. Steaks sear well in this pan, cooking through perfectly. It cleans up really easily by hand, though I have a huge appreciation for it being dishwasher safe.
Willing to try again!
While Paderno makes a huge deal about their “made in Canada” products, unfortunately this one is nothing to write home about. While the packaging DOES explain how to clean it, it has 0 information about the proper use of the stainless steel pan. So after googling it, I ensured the pan and the oil was very hot before dropping in a couple of eggs. 🍳 Almost immediately, they started to stick. I held onto the hope that they would un-stick once the bottom “cooked” (not unlike grills) and was wrong. 👎🏻 I had to scrape all the eggs whites off the pan and breakfast was promptly ruined.
Having said that, I KNOW stainless steel pans are more difficult to cook with than traditional non-sticks pans (ie “TFal” or “The Rock” pans) and cast iron. So I am definitely willing to try again and hopefully it will work better with some better protein like 🥩 meat or fish.
