Great for beginners!

I received this product for free to try in return for my honest review. This is a great set for a college student or someone looking for a basic knife set to start off. It doesn't take up too much space on the table and it has most of the knives you'd want for everyday kitchen adventures. I am removing one star because I wish it had just one more more substantial knife in it (a cleaver of some sort).

Beginner or first knife set

I received the Vida by Paderno 4-piece knife set for free and have been using it for two weeks. There are three knives: A chef's knife, a bread knife, and a pairing knife. The knives don’t feel heavy when holding and cutting, and the blades are sharp and durable. The stainless steel continues to the handle. I think that the pairing knife could use a slightly longer blade. When it comes to the care and longevity of the knives I highly recommend following the cleaning and care instructions to get longevity out of the knives and maintain the blade. The sharpening tool is okay, I prefer to use a sharpening stone as I get a very sharp blade and it upholds the integrity of the blade over time. For someone new to knife sets I believe this is a great starter set, you can use these knives throughout your kitchen.

These knives cut like butter!

I am obsessed with these knives. I used them this evening to make a steak skillet and they cut through everything so smoothly. The knife sharpener on the side of the knife block is a great addition to ensure your knives never become dull and will be long lasting. .
