I recieved Vim through the product review club. I remember my mother and my grandmother using the product (and maybe still do) when I was younger. I used in the bathroom. I enjoyed the scent. It left the room smelling very fresh and clean. Not overpowering at all. It cleaned my toilets, sinks and bathrubs. I felt like it did the job as what I normally and I found myself using alot more of it than I would with my regular product. I am not sure that I would recommend it to a friend but it wasn't like I was dissatisfied with the product either. The results just didn't WOW me. However I might buy the product if I saw it on sale. In conclusion, it cleaned my bathroom without having to put in too much effort.

Thank you Chickadvisor for letting me review this product. I really like the shape of the bottle and packaging of this product. It is easy to hold and squeeze the product onto surfaces that need cleaning. I also like the lemon scent which isn't as strong or chemically as the original scented Vim products that I have used.

This product does a very good job at cleaning (I tried it on my bathtub and sink). The cream is not runny so when you squeeze it, it stays in place and works on the dirt and does not run down the side until you are ready to wipe/scrub the area.

This is an interesting product in that it can also be used on plastic patio furniture, barbeques and white running shoes. The only downside with this product is that it's quite niched/specific in terms of which surfaces it's safe to use on. I can't use it on granite, laminite or windows.

I still prefer the Vim bathroom spray as I am able to use it on more surfaces in my home. But I think that Vim Cream Lemon Scent would be useful for certain surfaces that the other Vim products can't be used on.

I received a full size bottle to try and found it to be great!! I love the smell, the texture and the effectiveness. I used this on floors, counters, and bathtub/sinks. I was very satisfied with how it cleaned and left areas feeling and looking. I would defintely by this again, and others should consider trying this creamy cleanser as well...:D

I received this product as a free trial. I hate housework and any product that will make housework easier is something I need to try! I've been using this product for a couple of weeks and seem quite pleased with it.

The bottle itself is a good size and is easy to grip. I love the lemon scent - it's not too overpowering and it just smells fresh. The cream is the right consistency as it's thin enough to pour easily and thick enough that it adheres to the surface you want to clean. It rinses away quickly.

So over the last few days I've used VIm Cream with Microparticles on several items: stainless steel sink, enamelled laundry sink. stainless steel cutlery, fibreglass tub and shower with glass and ceramic tiles.

In every case Vim did a decent job. But what impressed me the most was how it cleaned stainless steel. My kitchen sink is over 25 years old and getting scruffy. No matter what I used, I simply couldn't get some of the marks off. And believe me I used several products. My sink hasn't looked better in years! Most of the scratches have been removed and the sink was left gleaming. I got the same results using it on my stainless steel cutlery. You know how knife blades get stained with use and teaspoons used to stir coffee and tea develop a tarnished look to them? Well, Vim returned them back to their original gleam. It's well worth a try - especially on stainless steel sinks and such.

Thank you for sending me this product as part of the product review club. It's kind of odd to get a cleaning product to try out, but it will definitely be well used! The lemon scent is pleasant, a nice change from the original which can be a bit bothersome. It works well to clean tubs, sinks, toilets etc. I would definitely repurchase this product once I use this one up.

I've had Vim for the bathroom for years... it's a bit toxic smelling but it does a great job, so I was really excited to get to try out the Vim lemon scent cream version.

I like the new lemon scent - better than the original white bottle. The consistency and bottle is like the original cream version. I tried this on my floors, in the kitchen and in the bathroom. I tend to prefer the spray bottle style of cleaners, but this worked well. Did a great job of cleaning parts of the floor (stubborn black marks from shoes) and the kitchen sink and tub.

The only downside is that I have a lot of granite and steel in the kitchen and bathroom so I was hesitant to try it on the appliances and counters. I could only use the Vim in certain areas of the house, but where I did, it worked great! Definitely worth the money.

    Hi,
Wow, I loved this product. Tried the bathtub first, applied a layer waited a half an hour and wow, my stubborn stain came out with no real effort. I didn't really have to scrub, it didn't stratch the surface and it sparkled. Next the toilet and sink, it was great. I didn't even have to open the window since the smell was not strong, it just smelled clean and lemony.

I went next to the kitchen sink and counter, it did a wonderful job.
i would recommend it to everyone.... the price was a little high but when it works it is worth it. I found it on sale at Shopers last week, so I picked up 2 of them and One for my Mom

I'm glad I got to test this for the product review club. I'm writing the review sooner than asked simply because I'm completely satisfied with it, and will *definitely* be buying it once this bottle runs out.

In the bathroom, I tested it on the toilet, sink and bathtub, along with the counters around the sink which had a few small stains on them

Our sink gets pretty scuzzy, to be honest, which I can't stand. I have been using those disinfectant wipes from Costco (Kirkland) because they were convenient for me being in a wheelchair. I won't be buying the Costco brand any longer, except to clean the bathroom floor (I can't use a mop and pail properly in this contraption and the wipes do the job easily and with no mess). A small squirt of Vim and a wet sponge got the entire sink and the chrome on the faucet completely clean and super shiny. I appreciated the fact that it's virtually non-abrasive, leaving no residue behind on the porcelain or chrome. It rinses completely clean. To rinse the counter top, which is marble, I just rinsed out the sponged and wiped off once. Again, no residue at all.

Next was the toilet. I left it longer than I normally would between cleanings because I wanted to see how well this cleaned it when it got nasty. I gotta admit, it cleaned up extremely well. Not a bit of scuzz to be left anywhere, and the smell was great. Loved it.

Bathtub was next. The tub is hard for me because our bathroom in this brand new apartment building is like a broom closet. Nicely done up with marble, chrome, stone and ceramic tiles, but a broom closet nonetheless! It's hard for me to reach all angles of the tub (my husband usually does it). Again, a brief squirt around the tub and a wet sponge was all it took, no major scrubbing. Which made it much easier and faster for me to clean. No fumes, no harsh smells, no residue, no worry of having loads of toxic stuff left on the surface to stew in when taking a future bath. The tub was shiny, clean and smelled great and the crome was super shiny. When I took a bath after, the tub was scuzz-ring free under the waterline too. So I know the Vim got it all off.

By the time I was done, the entire bathroom looked really good and smelled nice and clean. So I had to try something else haha :-)

There were some scuff marks on the baseboards from my wheelchair which I normally use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for, so I decided to give the Vim a shot this time. Got the black marks off immediately, and then wiped off and residue (minimal) with one swipe of the clean, damp sponge, and again left everything smelling nice and fresh.

Unfortunately, we own no white shoes or anything of the sort, so we couldn't test it out on that, but I did try it on the bottoms of some pots and pans my husband has a tendency to get marked up haha :-) It actually did not work so well on this job, disappointingly, but I've left it to sit on those stains for a while and will try and scrub it again in about 20 minutes. Sadly, I think about the only thing that's going to get that gunk off is baking soda. Or hydrochloric acid :-)

The washer and dryer also needed a good wipe-down, so tested the Vim there too. No problems, got them nice and clean, again smelling great, and very shiny with no residue.

Overall, I'd say this is definitely a multi use product, with the exception of baked on messes on stainless steel pots and pans.

The other thing I noticed is that it didn't sting my hands or dry out my skin if I didn't use gloves, unlike all the other cleaners I have, and it foams up a bit almost like soap. Quite honestly, my hands normally feel more dry after washing them with just plain liquid soap and water, or washing the dishes with dish soap. That's another plus.

Vim also did not have any fumes or harsh smells, meaning I could easily breathe while cleaning, unlike my other cleaners with which I have to wrap a towel around my mouth and nose to use. A much better alternative that cleaned almost all of the surfaces I used it on very well, and actually left them shining and smelling great. Very fresh!

Compared to my Lysol Bleach Toilet cleaner I normally use, my Mr. Clean MultiSurface Spray and a few others, I much prefer the Vim. To keep most surfaces clean, including the granite kitchen counter tops, all I really need to buy from now on is a bottle of Vim and some Windex for the mirrors and windows.

Considering the price of Vim compared to other products, the amount of product you receive for the money, the great job it does cleaning, and the little bit of product it takes to clean even a scuzzy bathtub up, this is definitely on my next shopping list. I was quite surprised when the bottle arrived as I did not expect it to be all that large. Very good value for the money. Even better with a coupon haha :-)

The only thing the company MUST improve is the bottle top. It's absolutely terrible and ends up being very messy. It needs one of those curved bottle tops (ala Toilet Duck) so you can squeeze it up under the toilet bowl rim and so it doesn't gum up until the flip top cap, making it difficult to close. That is the one and only thing about this really great product which I really really REALLY dislike. But as to the product itself, I can't see how they could improve it, except to maybe make a version with an oxygen type bleaching ingredient for super stained surfaces.

Thanks Chick Advisor and Vim! :-)

I remember my Mother using Vim cream cleaner growing up but for some reason I don't usually purchase it for my own household so I was glad to receive it as part of the Product Review Club to give it a try again.

I decided to use it on both my bathroom and kitchen. I started with the bathroom sinks, shower and bathtub. I thought it was really effective on the sinks and I liked the lemon scent but it didn't remove all of the soap scum from my tub and shower. In the kitchen I used it on my sink and counters and I was happy with the results. I expected the cream to feel grainy but it was smooth so I didn't worry about scratching any of the surfaces I used it on. I didn't like the fact that I had to rinse the product off, I usually use products where you don't have to do that so it seemed like an extra step. I would love to see a new bottle design though as I found the cream to be a bit messy around the spout of the bottle.

I was glad to rediscover a classic cleaner but I think I will stick with my normal cleaners (Mr.Clean, scrubbing bubbles) as I feel they better suit my needs. I'd buy Vim if it was on sale and just use it on my sinks.
