no cold sore breakouts

I bought this Vitamin World Lysine Amino acid support vitamin as I sometimes get cold sores and was told that taking this extra dose of amino acid would stop the breakouts. So far I have been happy. I don't take it regularly, but at the first tingle feeling on my lip, I take 2 and it stops the sore from happening.
