90% OF CHICKS DIG IT
Voila is a good service but can be frustrating due to lack of products. I just ordered today and the top 7 beef options were unavailable without substitutes. What grocery store doesn't have ground beef? Other times they are missing chicken. I asked them on Facebook if this was something to expect, but they just ignored me. Due to lack of options I will probably not use this service again.
Items cost more
I would not use this service again as most items were more costly for this service. I would not recommend this service as groceries are already at an all time high and it seems as though though the prices are elevated to cover picking costs??
I had my first order delivered from Voila tonight. As this is my 95 year old father’s house I specifically asked it not be delivered to the driveway, (which is located to the side) as he is unable to go outside.
Luckily I was visiting my father tonight. First the driver calls and says he can’t find my house which is brightly lit. Snowy night I think so I get that. I see his truck is across the street so I go outside. He moved to the front of the house and starts yelling out the window. I tell him I can’t hear him so he gets out of the truck and says he can’t carry the two cases through the snow. I’ve been using Walmart Grocery deliver for my Fathers home for years and never had this issue.
The driver says he can only deliver to the driveway and I reluctantly agree.
The truck goes up the driveway and I wait for him to bring out the cases. He does after 10 minutes and hands me one. He says he will follow me to the door as he has to get the cases back. When inside the house my elderly father who uses a walker sees the driver and says “Hello. Bad weather tonight “…the delivery driver then snaps back rudely at my father “I’ve seen worse!”
When I gave him the cases back he stood as if waiting for a tip, which there was no way I was going to offer for such terrible service, he then turned and left.
I decided to use Voila as family members said it was a good service. I even paid for the weekly delivery pass. Needless to say I won’t be using the pass or the Voila delivery service again. If this particular individual doesn’t like his job he should find other work. To be rude to my elderly father was absolutely unacceptable.
Taking Advantage Parasites
I went onto our local Safeway website and looked up prices of items, particularly those on sale. I then went onto the Voila site (whom I think is also owned by Sobeys) and the price differences were astounding. Purex, as an example, was $6.44 on Safeway and Voila was $11.99! This is absolutely disgusting. Don't support them. Don't let them get away with ripping us all off. It's their own company and they use it to parasitically feed off of us.
Kind and respectful delivery people. Great product!! No problems, I will continue to use this service and recommend it to anyone who dislikes grocery shopping. Setting my mother up for it as well. So glad it exists!!❤️
I've been using Voila since the pandemic started in 2020. At first, they were great. As time has gone on, my biggest issue is the wait for a delivery opening, always 2 days or more, and many many out of stock items that makes ordering very frustrating. Even if it's confirmed on your order, suddenly they make substitutions just before delivery, many not suitable. I've have also had numerous problems with items that were spoiled and, while they are quick to refund when complained about, it means dinner plans get ruined.
does not worth it
Customer service takes 3-4 days to reply, while most other companies respond in a few hours. I'm still waiting for a response to a simple question. Also, it seems products labeled as cheap or on sale are often out of stock after I order them, leading to refunds.
Well, my first experience with Voila grocery delivery was not good. However, I decided to give them a second chance. Today the delivery came during the chosen time, the driver was very polite, the produce and meat were fresh and in good condition. However, one item I was charged for was missing. I have requested a refund and have not yet heard back. So I will have to wait and see how this is dealt with.
Excellent service and great quality
Just tried my first order for delivery this morning. Arrived within the designated time slot. Driver called 5 minutes ahead to let me know he was arriving soon. My buzzer is currently not working, so we arranged to meet at the lobby entrance. I had a cart to put the groceries in, and the driver was exceptionally gentle when placing the bags in and made sure he didn't put any items which could be crushed at the bottom. The frozen items arrived still frozen and the refrigerated items and veggies were all cold as their vans have refrigerated storage. I got everything in my order correctly, no missing items or substitutions. The quality of all the items was perfect, exactly what I would have picked at the store. Service was prompt, friendly and professional. Zero complaints. The only down side is the price/fees. They are obviously more expensive, just as when you shop in store. But the quality of the items and the service was fantastic. I prefer shopping in store, but had to order online since my car broke down and is currently in the shop. If I have to use delivery again, would 100% use Voila.
Dishonest, shady business practices; worst grocery Delivery
I purchased 12 month ANYTIME Pass. For months now I have not been able to get any morning delivery slots, nor have I been able to book any slots earlier than 5 days in advance.
When I searched available times for an address literally 350m from me (I can see it from my house) it brings up all slots starting at 6AM until 10PM, beginning tomorrow. Full day availability for all addresses across the street from me.
They claim they do not have resources yet I just explained to them that they have trucks available ALL day to go to my neighbours.
This is easily fixable on the backend.
What a terrible experience. I purchased an anytime pass and they are only giving me evening slots. THAT IS NOT ANYTIME. That's false and misleading information to entice buyers. That's illegal. They changed the contract terms without notifying me. I'd suggest they consult with their legal department.
Also! They consistently overcharge for meats. They charge you the weight at the regular price if an item is sale. You have to do the math to catch it because they don't put the pricing on the packages.
