Easy to use but needs more options on app

The voila app is so easy to use. It has options that other online grocery apps don’t have like adding all my favourites to my grocery order with just one tap. And it’s easy to remove or add/adjust items. But …

For example with Granny Smith apples the app selects a 3 count so if you want 6 then you only have to tap twice. This is convenient if you want your apples in a multiple of 3. But I usually buy 7 so we have one a day for the week. So this is convenient that I don’t have the tap the button for every single apple but it’s also limiting. And there is no spot to make a note saying “please add one more apple”

I usually need to make adjustments on my online orders or make notes on certain items. Certain items I don’t want substitutions and I can’t find any spots to say no substitution on a single item or the whole order. I also like to make a Thank You note on my orders and there is no spot of this.

My groceries were packed in paper bags and even offered to unload the paper bag into my containers but it was raining and I didn’t want the employees to be getting even more wet transferring. And paper bags are so much easier to recycle than plastic.

Overall I enjoyed using the Voila app but it needs to have more options added for me to be able to use it for more that just special items that maybe I can’t get anywhere else.

My Safeway that I picked up at had excellent quality of produce and the substitutions that I received works out great. I really like that I could text the phone number with what stall I was parked in and what my order number was and they just came out. Very effective and time saving.

Very easy process

I used this service for the first time and it was pretty good, I didn't have any substitutions and the fruits and vegetables that were picked are the same that I would pick for myself. It was ready on time and was a simple pick up process. The only thing I didn't like and wish I would have known is the Air Miles offers that are offered in store (in the flyer) or through their My Offers program do not apply to these purchases. Only the 1 air mile per $20 unfortunately. I also didn't like the bags, they charge you for bags automatically - they did ask me if I wanted to switch the items from the paper bags to my reusable bags, but it was freezing outside and busy so I felt obligated to take the bags. I also think I would have been charged regardless. Other than that it was a good experience.

Voila Safeway Pick Up Service

It was easy to make an account, and easy to use the website to choose my products. I didn’t find it very different from other pick up devices, except that there was a fee to pick pick up, even with a minimum purchase. It took about 7 minutes to get my order once I pulled up. There was one item unavailable, and one substitution made. It is a convenient service.

Voila! No supermarket hustle for me!

I tried Voila by Sobeys and was very happy with my experience. They didn't have all items I ordered but made a solid substitution on one and refunded the other. When I picked up my order I waited 10 minutes despite it being evening and not busy at the store. This is the one thing they can improve in my opinion. The young lady who delivered my groceries to my car was polite and careful with my bags. She offered to swap them into my cloth bags and was careful to note for me where the eggs were. When I got home I was missing my bananas and had someone else's bread. I was contacted by Voila as they realized the mix up as soon as I left. They refunded my bananas and told me to enjoy the bread. Solid 5 star service if the wait time could be trimmed a little. Will definitely use again.

Great service wow

This was great and so easy to do with my kids in the car. Select from home and then pick up. Don’t have to drag two kids around the store and find everything. Time saver :)

Easy process

Overall it was a very easy process. Our family have used online curbside pickup for Superstore and I can definitely say the website for Voila by Safeway was a much easier process than Superstore by far! The website didnt lag and it was easy to look for items that I needed. I also love that they give you free pick up on certain days so instead of having the items picked up on Saturday which would have cost us 3.99 we opt for the Monday free pick up around 7-9pm. This also gave me plenty of time to add or change my cart before the pick up time which was great because I actually forgot a couple of items and was able to add it onto the list before Monday's pick up.

Now for the items in my cart, there was a couple of things that I wasnt able to get and they ended up refunding me which was communicated to me prior and it was not added to the receipt! You would think that when things arent in stock and you never received it, you wouldnt be charged for it right? well Superstore did that to me ONCE TOO MANY TIME and I appreciate that Voila did not do this to me. The refund process was quick and easy unlike Superstore which they told me a refund could take up to a month for a $4 extra charge. On top of that, I received ALL of my items which again I had issues with when I did Superstore curbside pick up.

The only thing I was quite disappointed was my mangos. I purchased 6 mangos which were on sale but so far 2 of them have gone bad. I still got 3 remaining but it felt like such a waste that I had to throw them away. I guess with curbside pick up the downside is that you are not able to pick your own fruits and veggies but would hope that the person picking them out would look for the best one for you and not just grab whatever they see right away.

Overall my experience with Voila has been great and would consider using them again since they are closer. The only reason why I say "maybe" is because the pricing still doesnt beat Superstore on many things and even with the free curbside, it does add up on the bill.

Easy & convenient!!

I found using the Voila on line ordering for Sobeys! It was so easy and had an excellent selection of items. My items were fresh and chosen as I had asked.

Good Service

As a family with some very serious medical issues, we use grocery pick-up options very often. I'm often unable to manage going to the store and this is always such a blessing. It can also be a challenge because many, "big box" locations don't pay attention to the quality of the produce. More than once we've received poor food or errors.

Our order through Voila with Safeway was excellent. The quality of the produce was excellent, the staff were kind and my husband, who picked up for me, found it quite simple.

My only complaint was that the information on their site as to what was available in store was in accurate. Some of the food they said was available isn't even sold at our location. This resulted in my order being shorted more than the usual number of things and also, it caused an issue with my voucher code. I was quite upset, however, I reached out to Voila and VERY quickly they fixed the problem and refunded me the amount.

We'll absolutely use it again.

A quick way to get your groceries

It was really easy to use Voila. I was happy with my order. I was ready within 5 minutes of arrival at the store. I never had to leave the car which was great tonight as it was snowing.
