Other services give better offers
For me it's not worthy as I'm using other delivery services that offer me amazing discounts like $40 off $80.
It is a good service if there is no competitor
Expensive and difficult.
Voila is expensive compared to other options. There was a bag fee with no option to use your own bags. I was offered free delivery but charged delivery. This was a paid review.
Good product ...lousy customer service
I was given an incentive to use this program and give my review . Overall I am not very impressed with my Voila experience. To start off with the website was very glitchy it kept freezing. And would tell me it had lost connection. And I would have to start all over again. Then when I was shopping for my items I was looking for specific items that I had seen on sale in the flyer. And I was fighting a bunch of stuff was higher priced on voila than what it supposedly was going to be on sale for in the flyer. So I reached out to well as customer service and was informed that they don't honor the flyer prices. They have their own Sales Online. Which I find not very fair because a lot of people do shop based on what they see on the Flyers that they view either from their home or online. So if I did want some of those flyer specials inadvertently I'm still going to have to go to the store anyways which kind of defeats the purpose of using a delivery service. I then proceeded to place my order. It was amazing how many of the items I was looking for were out of stock or not available. Which again kind of defeats the purpose of having a delivery option if you can't provide what the customer wants. Then when it came time for placing my order and inputting the code that I was given. I still paid my delivery fee and then I was charged for the use of eight bags. I then reviewed my order and went I didn't need as many of the broccoli crowns as I was ordering so I deleted one and they changed my bag order by one. Which makes no sense again cuz broccoli does not need a bag of its own. I placed my order and everything was fine after that. They were good enough to phone on delivery day 5 minutes before drop off to make sure somebody was home to receive the order. And when my order came to the door the gentleman only had three bags. Even though they had charged me for eight. And then asked if I wanted him to just take the bags back. I unpacked my order. As I stated the quality of what I received was fantastic. And that aspect voila exceeded my expectations. I didn't have any items that were substituted for something else because they didn't have it in stock. I did also receive the three free items for ordering with Wawa this week. So not aspectful law went above and beyond what I thought they were going to do. And that aspect the delivery service was great. I then reached out to Wawa to inquire about the bag charge. I do realize it's only 15 cents a bag but in today's economy that's still a lot. I was told that the driver should have adjusted my charge at his truck when they reviewed the order to see that the bag amount was different than what I was charged. And that the lady would do it right then and there for me. I personally think that when they're packing the order you would know how many bags you used when you packed it so that's what I should have been charged. The other thing that's a bit off with the voila was also how my bags are packed. I personally don't like having Frozen items packaged with my fresh vegetables. Some of my vegetables were very close to being Frozen when they did arrive. Luckily they weren't but still some care should be taken with how the bags were packed. Especially being I did order a fair amount of Frozen items. Those should have all just been packed in one bag together. So overall I'm not a very impressed with Wallah at all. I probably will not ever use this service again unless I am in a dire dire situation.
Too expensive
The delivery fee I found extremely high compared to other services and the general price of groceries I just couldn't justify compared to what I normally spend. Also found the website for ordering not as user friendly as others and it didn't show me sale items until the final check out page and at the last page it showed me a bunch of items that were out of stock which was frustrating
Ok - But website issues and higher base price
This was an ok delivery service. Having used delivery services for a few years now, I am quite efficient in grabbing what I need, put the order in and go. This website was so finicky, scrolling often made it glitch, and without knowing exactly what I needed I got the glitch a lot. Not fun. I also noticed that the prices of items, even when on sale were above the "normal" prices to other stores. Your budget wouldn't go far if you did a full shop here, so maybe just keep it for emergency items? Overall was ok, but not going to switch to this delivery service anytime soon.
Items cost more
I would not use this service again as most items were more costly for this service. I would not recommend this service as groceries are already at an all time high and it seems as though though the prices are elevated to cover picking costs??
I had my first order delivered from Voila tonight. As this is my 95 year old father’s house I specifically asked it not be delivered to the driveway, (which is located to the side) as he is unable to go outside.
Luckily I was visiting my father tonight. First the driver calls and says he can’t find my house which is brightly lit. Snowy night I think so I get that. I see his truck is across the street so I go outside. He moved to the front of the house and starts yelling out the window. I tell him I can’t hear him so he gets out of the truck and says he can’t carry the two cases through the snow. I’ve been using Walmart Grocery deliver for my Fathers home for years and never had this issue.
The driver says he can only deliver to the driveway and I reluctantly agree.
The truck goes up the driveway and I wait for him to bring out the cases. He does after 10 minutes and hands me one. He says he will follow me to the door as he has to get the cases back. When inside the house my elderly father who uses a walker sees the driver and says “Hello. Bad weather tonight “…the delivery driver then snaps back rudely at my father “I’ve seen worse!”
When I gave him the cases back he stood as if waiting for a tip, which there was no way I was going to offer for such terrible service, he then turned and left.
I decided to use Voila as family members said it was a good service. I even paid for the weekly delivery pass. Needless to say I won’t be using the pass or the Voila delivery service again. If this particular individual doesn’t like his job he should find other work. To be rude to my elderly father was absolutely unacceptable.
I've been using Voila since the pandemic started in 2020. At first, they were great. As time has gone on, my biggest issue is the wait for a delivery opening, always 2 days or more, and many many out of stock items that makes ordering very frustrating. Even if it's confirmed on your order, suddenly they make substitutions just before delivery, many not suitable. I've have also had numerous problems with items that were spoiled and, while they are quick to refund when complained about, it means dinner plans get ruined.
