Pain relief as promised, but short-lived

As someone with chronic back pain I’m often trying new topical products as I prefer not to take things orally. I’ve gone through pretty much every OTC product there is and they all work to some degree. Voltaren is a medicated anti-inflammatory product that actually addresses the inflammation while other products that are menthol-based or heat and cold packs really only use temporary relieve the pain. I do find that you have to use quite a significant amount of this product on order it for it to work, with frequent applications. It does get a bit messy because of this. Although they state that the effects are long lasting I find that after a few hours it wears off. I will also mention that this product should not be used by anyone who is allergic or has sensitivities to any other anti-inflammatory product, as it is absorbed into the rest of the body. Overall it works well, I just wish it were stronger (even though they say it's extra strength)! Another downside is the price per quantity, especially if you are using it frequently. Overall it's worth a try!

I would use this product again

I have TMJ which results in neck pain. This cream helped alleviate some of that pain. Would be nice if it warmed up a bit more, but still provided some comfort.

Good for muscle pain

I had this one as a sample.good in muscle pain.the gel gives coolnest to your body when u apply.help ease the pain.for me much better because i’m not a fan of taken orally.

Not worth buying

It is useless on severe backaches. it gives relief in minor pains but in bad pains it doesn't do anything. Better ask your doctor to prescribe something instead of buying this.

Works for me

I've tried many different pain relieving products and this one works the best. I can go for 12 hours without my knees aching or getting swollen. The odour disappears quickly and the gel doesn't stain your clothes. I only use this product when my knees start aching or selling, none of the other pain relief gels and pills have worked.

it works but not as good as a535

voletren works but it doesn't give the amazing burny feeling that it's working like a535 but it does feel like it works. it's good for during the day applications at work or while you are out because it doesn't have the strong scent like a535 does

This product is really great. Takes the pain away and swelling too. It is too bad that it is so expensive. I have to try and get it on sale to be able to use it on a regular basis

Good

Good product but if it doesn’t work ask your doctor to prescribe the voltaren 10%. That stuff is amazing if the regular voltaren seems to not work due to increased pain.

Works for me

I use Voltaren when arthritis is acting up and I don't want to take any pills. The product is non-greasy, and works well for my elbow and knee pain. The smell is tolerable compared to some other brands that I have used in the past. My Husband does not agree with me on its effectiveness.

Pain relief rub

This is now the only ointment we purchase to apply to our aches and pains, from sore shoulders, knees and sore back. We like the way it goes on and works almost immediatly at offering relief! stock up when on sale, because it it is a bit expensive, but it works!!!
