Missed the mark

I was able to try Voortman S'Mores wafers cookies for free as part of a promotion. I was quite excited as I enjoy wafer cookies, and was looking forward to the marshmallows. Upon opening the package, I was disappointed when looking at the wafer. I expected to see a layer of chocolate and a layer of marshmallow. All I could find was the chocolate. Assuming the marshmallow flavour was mixed in with the chocolate, I tried the wafer. Sadly, the marshmallow taste is very mild, if there at all. I found the chocolate flavour to be strong and overly sweet.

I do like other varieties of Voortman wafer cookies, and find them to be of good quality and taste, but Voortman S'Mores is not a winner for me.

We recently tried the Voortman’s S’mores wafers and they were quite tasty! The wafer was nice and light and the filling wasn’t overly sweet. Kids and parents alike will equally enjoy this treat!

Too sweet but not enough marshmallow

I received a package of Voortman wafers S’mores free to try from Family Rated. We found the chocolate flavour overwhelmed any of the other tastes. I didn’t tell him they were s’mores and he thought they were just plain chocolate. Good for a chocolate wafer but I was hoping for more marshmallow and graham cracker flavours.

Delicious Campfire Treat

I am a HUGE fan of Voortman Wafers and for this reason have bought almost every flavour on the market. This is why I was super excited when I got #VoortmanSmores for free from Family Rated.

These wafers are crispy, crunchy and flavourful. The wafers are light and don't have much flavour but they do add a delicate crunch to each bite. The chocolate taste really comes through which is wonderful because it brings out that campfire s'mores taste. While I do get a mild hit of marshmallow taste it is not super strong. I find the chocolate flavour is a bit more dominating than the marshmallow. None the less, I am OBSESSED with this new flavour as it is a good replica of the campfire treat.

I did try these treats warmed in the microwave for a few seconds, just as indicated on the package. This helps to bring out the gooeyness which we often expect from s'mores! The taste is delicious. I warmed mine for about 10 seconds and it was perfect because the wafers still remained crispy.

I will be purchasing this flavour again for sure for myself and my family as we all loved them. I will also recommend them to friends and bring these treats when I go to BBQs in the summer months so everyone I know can try them!
