I had no idea such a product existed! I have been using traditional sandpaper style nail files forever, despite them not working very well (and taking forever to get a good shape).

This glass nail file is a bit deceitful from its cheap plastic case (which will not last long) – once you pull out the file – sword style of course – it is quite beautiful. It has a light rose colour near the bottom, changing into a clear white colour at the sword end shaped tip.

It is speckled and looks similar to a sandpaper nail file, but definitely exceeds them in quality.

It takes no time to file my nails now – usually with one or two swishes of the file per nail side. I can see this file lasting for years and years due to its durability and quality – pending it does not get dropped (not a test I would like to try out for a review). Very little pressure is required to obtain the look I want for my nail shape.

I have even used it in conjunction with applying my Jamberry nail wraps, as you have to file your nails once the wraps have been applied. It did not damage the wraps, and they actually look much better and stay applied longer than they did with old fashioned sandpaper files.

I feel this is definitely a worthy investment for normal nail care and maintenance. – at the price point, it is definitely more economical than sand paper nail files.

This isn't the best quality of glass nail file that I've ever seen, I have to be honest, but it does a great job. The case, as other have mentioned, is somewhat of a cheap looking plastic, but it does the job at protecting the file and stopping it from snagging on anything if you need to take it in your purse or bag.

The glass nail file works great on nails, I found compared to my usual nail file that there was a lot less frayed edges and snagging when I used this. While glass nail files, in general, do take off less nail at a time, this is still well and truly capable of removing a large chunk of your nail if you get over-zealous, so go slow when shaping.

Protip: When shaping nails always file gently in one direction to prevent breakage. If there are any frayed parts or under nail left you can use the blue side of a 'buff block' to clean it up.
