Not a great way to monitor your child

I got this Vtech two camera video monitor to watch over my baby at night, which I really can't do! First of all, you can only see the railings of the bed. If you screw the cameras to the wall, you might be able to see the child, but I didn't want to poke holes for that and I doubt you would be able to see. Second, the screens goes blank often like it's trying to load image. Third, the screeching and static noise you hear while you're trying to sleep is very annoying. I would say skip this video monitor altogether. I am not impressed and in process of shopping for a new monitor!
