This is a really good choice for me and I can just add a little bit of sugar. I pour hot water drain it and then a bit of sugar and milk It's a good way to start my day.
Trying to cut down on sugar then try Weetabix. Add some blueberries, raspberries or strawberries to add a bit of sweetness if you want. Keeps your tummy full and is very low in sugar.
Weetabix has been a staple in my cupboard my whole life..... It was our breakfast cereal when I was a kid ( I am 50 now) and now I use it in so many ways. For breakfast I just boil the kettle and splash a bit of boiling water on and eat it same as you would oatmeal with some milk and a teaspoon of jam mixed in. When I bake I will often crumble a couple of the waffers in with my flour to make the loaf/muffins a little fluffier. They are GREAT crumbled onto yogurt. BUT my favourite way to have them is crumbled onto vanilla ice cream topped with a drizzle of chocolate or caramel sauce.... YUM!!
the whole grain "biscuits" are delicious. They're nutritious, too: two biscuits with skim milk (no sugar required) provide 170 calories (10 from fat), 130mg sodium, 150mg potassium, 0.5g fat, 29g carbohydrates (including 4g dietary fiber and 2g sugar), 4g protein, no cholesterol, and a few vitamins and minerals. The biscuits themselves (24 to a package, or 12 servings) are light, crisp, and flaky.
Weetabix is great with milk
add low-fat milk (1% or 2%), the biscuits soak the milk up very quickly. If you don't eat your Weetabix right away, the biscuits will break apart and your morning cereal will be a little soggy.delicate flavor and pleasant texture.
love weetabix! its very healthy compared to other sugar filled cereals and keeps me full until lunch time :)
I always come back to weetabix. I chop and change all the time trying different and new breakfast cereals but always revert back to old faithful. You can't beat it. And if we have no milk left I spread on butter and jam - amazing!!!
Weetabix is a great cereal. It's healthy for you and tastes good. Some people might find the mushy part of it hard to get past but I don't. In the winter time I will put my milk on it and then put it all in the microwave and heat it up a little. I find it's good cold or hot which is perfect in winter here.
When it comes to cereal I would always go for the sugar coated ones, as I get older I realize that they honestly don’t have much of a health value to them at all! Now, I can’t say that I cut them from my diet completely but I have started buying healthier ones with less sugar added to them. Which is why I am very happy to tell you about Weetabix cereal!
I was very impressed with the fact that this product is low in sodium with only 2 grams of sugar per 2 biscuits. I tried mine with fresh fruit and a sprinkle of sugar and was very impressed with the taste of it! Something I like to do when I receive products to review, is allow family members to test it as well, as a means of multiple opinions. I can honestly say my Dad is a picky eater, especially if it’s healthy! So I was beyond surprised when he told me “It was really good with blueberries”. Not only did my Dad like it, my 3 year old was stealing bites from my bowl :) I also love the fact that Weetabix is made with 100% Canadian wheat, Go Canada!
