My hands and feet are always dry, winter, spring, summer or fall.
I finally decided to try "skin food" when I saw it on sale.
My heels were crazy-dry so I just covered my whole foot with a thin layer of "food," put on my socks and left it on overnight.
Presto, change-o and in the morning my feet were soft and my heels looked (and felt) great, just in time for sandal-weather.
Tips:
- A little goes a long way.
- The texture is unexpected (slightly paste-y) but there is zinc in the "skin food" (reminiscent of diaper rash cream - in the best sense of soothing and protecting) and I am down with that.
Best Deep Moisturizing
This is a very thick cream. I use it when my skin is at it's driest. It takes a while to absorb, and requires a lot of rubbing in, but it's so worth it. I generally use it on my body (arms, back of hands, feet, elbows) but have used it as a dry spot treatment on my neck and face also. It has a pleasant smell. It's a good value, as a little goes a long way. Also, I haven't found another product that compares to it.
Love this. Can't live without it. I mainly use it as my hand cream, and a little goes a long way! However there were times when I used it on my face and it never caused me to break out! Will buy forever.
I highly recommend this product for year round moisturizing. It helps with cracked hands/heels and especially helps with excema issues I have experienced.
The best dry skin moisturizer. I love how emollient this cream is on my dehydrated skin. It makes it soft and supple after just one use. It's a little too heavy for my face but I use everywhere else when my skin needs hydration.
Skin Food by Waleda is by far my favorite cream. Thick and creamy, it goes on like an oil-based cream, yet doesn't stay "greasy". The fragrance is lovely, yet not overpowering. Used before bedtime on your hands and feet really helps add softness to one's skin. I even use it on my face and have never had any problems. I live in Colorado where it is cold and dry and I spend a great deal of each day outside. Skin Food has really helped me keep my exposed skin protected and looking good. I always keep a tube in my purse and have given tubes to all my family members (guys and gals) they all LOVE it!
This is one of those desert island products for me. It works wonders on areas that need deep moisturizing (calluses on your feet), and makes skin oh so soft. The smell is amazing as well. Not fruity and floral but sort of like something in the citrus family, I always joke I want to put it on my salad. In the winter, my chin got really dry and flaky. I lightly exfoliated and applied Skin Food every day and it was back to normal in a few days. I have a tendency to break out on my chin, it's my trouble area, but I didn't experience any break outs while using, or after, it feels really light and not greasy and you can tell it penetrates deep rather than just the surface layer which is what skin needs. I highly recommend this one, you'll find so many uses for it, and the price is very reasonable since you don't need a lot on trouble spots.
I swear by this as my winter saviour! I first heard about the Weleda product some years ago so I decided to head over to Noah's for about $20~. The Skin Food is all-natural and highly affective for dry skin. Its main ingredients are sunflower seed oil, almond oil, beeswax and rosemary. I usually put it on my legs and arms after shower. It also works well as a hand cream. Its thicker than a body butter, so a little goes a long way. I wouldn't wear this over summer, but this is a good purchase for the dry seasons.
