Costco strawberries

We purchased these strawberries at Costco today we washed them properly. Once we tasted them they had a weird taste (like they had pesticides or something on them. We tried soaking them but could not eliminate the odd taste. We ended up tossing the whole package! Would never buy them again.

Picked up a package @ Costco yesterday- they are huge!! I soaked & washed them in water and when we took a bite, the taste was very weird. My husband thinks it is from preservatives - they smell strange too - or maybe it is the odour from the plastic packaging? We're not eating them - whatever it is, it's not natural!

These were nice strawberries. They were on sale and I was craving some good strawberries during this winter season. They were all different sizes but had a nice taste. They are nothing like local, Ontario grown, but they were still goood.
