These really impressed me. I picked one up by accident (I thought it was just a lip gloss) but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure if all of the shades are matte, but the one I have is (High-Pitched Wine). It's a little drying, but extremely pigmented. A little goes a long way and it really does last a long, long, long time. I can't even rub it off -- I need makeup remover. I would totally purchase more and I recommend giving them a shot.
