so affordable!
I purchased this Wet n Wild lipstick in the color #536A Dark Wine (the color matches the description on the lipstick tube). I like that the top part of the tube of lipstick is clear plastic so that you can see exactly what color the lipstick will be.
This lipstick glides on effortlessly and does not dry out your lips after it has been applied. This particular color does contain a bit of a shimmer. These Wet n Wild lipsticks do come in an assortment of colors and they are very affordable. If you eat, or drink while wearing this lipstick, you will need to re-apply as this lipstick will transfer very easily to cutlery or drinking cups.
I went to Walmart the other day and bought three Wet N Wild lipsticks. I bought Hot Red, Blushing Bali and Blind Date which is personnally my favorite of them all! They are very affordable and have a variety of colors. Also easy to apply and smooth to the lips. The only thing is that they don't last all day but other than that they are great products! I will definitely go buy other colors :)
Wet N Wild is my favorite lipstick of all time! I have been wearing the same shade for years and they discontinued the brand in Georgia. I am so upset, I have looked every where to find it and no one sells it here. I've always worn #409 Mauve and I can't find another that even comes close to this amazing product.
Perfect for the price. I tried the coral colour in "What's up, Doc?". It's a nice bright orangey-coral shade that looks great on a tan, and doesn't look ridiculous or neon. I've never really been able to pull off a lot of directly applied lipstick, but I find what works for me is putting the colour in the middle of the lips and blending it around with my finger. And then a coat of gloss overtop. This made the perfect bright summer lip. Just a pop more colour to the face. It applies smoothly, the colour is exactly as it looks in the product. Wasn't drying (although I said I gloss overtop). This is a dependable cheap brand to test out new trends and colours and not have to invest... you could buy a soda or a lipstick for the same amount of money.
A good, affordable way to try colors one wouldn't otherwise try. For a dollar (or less), these are great to experiment with and while I'm not fond of all of them, I will use them when trying to achieve certain looks. They are moisturizing and have no offensive scent. The only problems I would say they have is that they aren't long lasting and bleed.
The packaging, of course is not the best, plastic tube that won't allow the bullet to fully retract (I've nicked these lipsticks more times than I can count).
The newly reformulated wet n wild Silk Finish Lipsticks are gorgeous. They make a ton of shades (like 25) and the new formula is absolutely divine. They have included Vitamin A & E, Aloe Vera, and Macadamia Nut Oil, which are all repairing and moisturizing for the lips. Of course these lipsticks don't feel as slippy as a lip balm, but they definitely do not dry out your lips like the typical formulas I steer clear of.
The pigmentation is consistent and rich for each and every colour, both with the creamy finishes and the more shimmery ones. If you build up the colour, like in my swatches below, the lipsticks have a definite sheen to them. If you apply just a small bit the finish is practically matte.
These are rich in colour pigments, vitamins A & E, aloe vera, and macadamia nut oil that’s high in antioxidants to help hydrate and smooth the lips for a perfect pout, It's purse friendly, comes in a sleek, black tube with clear lid to see the shade within and has a rich and creamy formula that gives a velvety smooth finish. It applies almost effortlessly without tugging or pulling on the lips. Most shades are extremely pigments (of course there’s always a few less opaque colours in the bunch) and provide true colour payoff in a single swipe. It’s comfortable to wear the entire day and provides 4 to 5 hours’ worth of wear time without caking or bleeding into fine lines
Found this great lipstick colour C519A Hot Red...and it is hot...I actually found it at a dollarstore for $1.50...Its smooth and true to the tube colour...RED..not pinky/red like many "cheaper" lipsticks. Stays on very well, but does transfer.
I recommend WNW lipstick :)
