Lower in the Glycemic Index Than Sugar!

My husband drinks coffee daily, and I drink it through the weekend. I have tried to drink stevia and stevia blends in my coffee but it wasn't for me. I asked my husband if he'd like to try coconut sugar, as it is slightly lower in the glycemic index than sugar. He said he would try it, even though he was skeptical. We both loved it! It adds a stronger, honey/molasses flavour to the coffee which is very pleasant. I love that it substitutes 1:1 with regular or brown sugar. I do find the price a little high, but I understand we have to pay for quality. I would like to see it come in larger bags than just the 1lb bags, since we do use it like sugar and need greater quantities if we use it for baking etc. It would be great if it came in 2lb and 4lb bags with a bit of a discounted price. Love the organic status!

    Coconut palm sugar. organic

Wholesome Live Sweetly organic Coconut Palm Sugar is my usual brown sugar i use in baking and as a regular sweetener. It is an unrefined brown sugar that is Non GMO. We are trying to be as organic as possible and this is a great item to have on hand. A bit more costly, but you don't need much in a recipe!

Recently, I happened to find this alternative sweetener in an ethnic food aisle at the grocery store. It is low carb, organic, and gluten free. With a look like fine graham crumbs, it easily replaces an equal amount of brown sugar in any recipe. It is excellent on cereal and oatmeal, great for baking, and very recommended by this Mom of 2.
