What happened to the Whoppers?

I have been buying, eating and enjoying Whoppers Candy for years. In the last 6 months I have bought several boxes. The chocolate looks dull, the taste is poor and many of the pieces are empty or hard and gummy instead of a malted ball. What happened? I kept thinking maybe I just got a bad box but they are all terrible. The quality, value and taste is poor. I am done buying this product.

I don't enjoy these at all. The malt doesn't have any appeal to me at all.
One candy I actually turn down if it is offered to me.
They look like chocolaty goodness from the outside but one bite and
I want to spit it out.
