Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire Reviews
#991 in Books

Description

When Dorothy triumphed over the Wicked Witch of the West in L. Frank Baum's classic tale, we heard only her side of the story. But what about her arch-nemesis, the mysterious Witch? Where did she come from? How did she become so wicked?

Gregory Maguire has created a fantasy world so rich and vivid that we will never look at Oz the same way again.

    Great read

What an interesting book! Really draws you into an incredibly detailed and vivid world complete with complex and lively characters you can relate to. Such an intelligent heartwarming spin on everyone's favorite green witch.

It's very seldom that I find a book that I would read again and again. This book takes a good imagination and open mind to read but it was a lot of fun and definitely interesting. I will never watch the Wizard of Oz the same way again!
