These are very nice mats that can be used for a variety of things. I use mine mostly as hot pads to set my hot dishes on when they come out of the oven. They don't burn, scorch or melt. These mats are also very easy to clean after use. They also come in very handy when you have to grab something hot like the handle of a skillet or something out of the oven.
