Great Conversation Starter
We got to play Would You Rather? Played with my family, some of the questions we skipped because a few were inappropriate for our kids and a few we changed to more of our liking. Game play was a bit long only because we were discussing each scenario more in detail. You really get to know a person with this game especially with all the levels that it has. Would recommend to families with older kids or maybe friends can play together so some of the answers aren't so awkward. We had a great time playing and are wanting to play again. Nice to have so many cards so you aren't using the same ones all the time.
So much fun!
I have been playing this game with my family and friends and it is so much fun! We have a blast trying to guess everyone’s choices! The questions are very fun and unique and really try to get you to think about your choices. i really enjoyed it and looking forward to incorporating this in our family game nights! #SpinMaster #Butterly #GotItFree
Fun
This is a very fun game of would you rather with 4 different categories and having to guess what you think the other people have chosen! Its very easy to understand and to play and is great for adults and teenagers.
Great party game!
Would You Rather...? The Game
Thank you to @thisisbutterly and @spinmaster for sending my family this game to try for free in exchange for our honest review!
The premise of this game is really simple -- one player flicks the spinner to choose a category. From there, the player reads out a dilemma and secretly makes a choice as to what option they'd rather pick. The other players must try to predict what answer was chosen. You get points for anyone you fooled, and anyone who guesses correctly also gets a point.
This game is really relaxed on the rules -- you don't *have* to keep score, just play it out and ask questions, discussing who would do what. This would make an excellent party game and with 500 questions, there's a low chance of repetition.
There's different categories in this game, including epic (where both choices are pretty great!), cursed (two awful choices) and even "go deep", a category for deep thinkers. I especially love the visual category, where pictures depict both scenarios.
Keep in mind that this game is 14+ and some questions may be confusing or unrelatable for some kids, particularly in the XOXO category. I did go though a chunk of the cards to make it a bit more family friendly for my 11 year old, pulling out cards like "would you rather be A. probed by an alien, or B. by your mom" as it's hilarious in a group of adults (particularly a drinking game of sorts!) but less hilarious explaining what probing means to my pre-teen. 😂
As mentioned above, this would make a really fun adult game with some beverages, or even a game for my teenager to play with some friends over the summer. I had no problem making it more appropriate to my liking (another option would be to just ignore the XOXO category altogether).
We're big fans of "would you rather" style questions in our household so I'll definitely be borrowing cards from this game just to play informally -- it's a great way to get the conversation flowing and I think that would be more of our playstyle rather than keeping score.

Fun social game!
We had a lot of fun playing this game on Father’s Day this past weekend! It’s a fun, easy game, and a lot of the options of would you rather are pretty funny. It was neat guessing what the person would choose - I don’t think we ever had a situation where no one got it right, so the chooser never scored 3 points. It’s seems like they’d have to chose what they don’t really think, which would defeat the purpose of the game…unless you’re playing with complete strangers and have no idea what they would pick. But it was fun to pondering the options, and hear people’s rationales for their choices lol
Would you rather
This is a very fun game to have with teen kids. Keeps them laughing and guessing the entire game. Lots of fun cards to go through. We all had a blast. My only concern is that after a while the cards will repeat and it will get boring as everyone will know what the cards say. For a new game this is for now very entertaining
Fun Party Game!
Would You Rather: The Game is a great party game! Lots of variety in topics, with some cards leading to quite the discussions, and others being so silly & fun, leading to lots of laughter. Good to note, it is for 14+ as some questions are more grown-up in nature (but there is a kids version available). Also, totally separate from the game play itself, but I loved seeing that the packing for the cards within this game didn’t use plastic shrink-wrap, and instead used bands of paper to keep things initially together. More companies need to use way of thinking and packaging!!
A fun game night addition!
Would You Rather? The Game! is a great addition to any game night! It presents you with 2 choices to pick between in 4 different categories : Cursed (2 awful choices), Epic (2 awesome choices), XOXO (romantic options) or Go Deep (more thought provoking choices). You spin the spinner to see which category you will get. Secretly make your choice using the voting cards and then your friends vote for choice they think you made. Anyone who guesses the right answer gets a point. If you fool them all you get 3 points!
Although this game is recommended for 14+, I played it with all 3 of my sons, ages 10 to 17. They all had a great time and had some silly answers, keeping things age appropriate for our youngest player.
I also got together with my camping buddies later on and played a more adult version of the game, using it as part of a drinking game. We all had a good laugh and a few drinks too.
Both experiences were fun and it really shows how versatile this game can be depending on who is playing it. Good clean family fun or a more risqué good time with friends.
A game with some good laughs
My husband, sister, teenage daughter and I sure had some good laughs reading some of the ultimatum choices in the cards. Would you rather has so many different topics from funny to scary to downright outrageous. We all took turns spinning the wheel and having everyone at the table try and guess our anwsers. We played with the chips to keep score, because we are all super competitive. I think this game would be alot of fun with a large group of people rather then family members. Playing with my family i found it was pretty obvious what option they would choose, so noone was really fooling the other players. I would absolutely play with at a house party with like minded adults but I don't think this will be a go-to game in my house for family nights.
So much fun!
🤔 So, would you rather.... 🤔
I love a good game! It's a fun time to spend with friends or family! I received Would You Rather? for free from Spin Master and Butterly in exchange for my honest review.
About this game:
🎲 Can be played with 3-6 players
🎲 For ages 14+
🎲 Easy to follow instructions
Review:
Would You Rather? is a pretty fun game where you can learn a lot about your fellow player's, including when they are bluffing! The instructions are super easy to understand and follow. I like that you can play for fun or keep score. The game itself is nicely compact, so you don't need a lot of space to play it and it travels nicely! The questions are interesting and entertaining.
I found that it kept everyone's attention and we didn't get bored. By having the spinner, 5 different categories, and 200 cards to choose from, each time you play will be different, so the fun will keep on going!
It is definitely a game that we will play over and over! 😁
Thank you Spin Master and Butterly for the many, and future, hours of entertainment! 💕
