A pretty adorable Jim Carrey movie.
He plays a character who is going through a tough time following a breakup.
He ends up at a seminar that encourages the "followers" to say yes to every
opportunity along the way. Along this journey he meets a woman and they
start to have serious feelings for each other. She finds out he was just
saying yes to everything and the truth changes her perception of their
relationship. They go on some random and cute adventures.
Nice, funny and entertaining movie with great Jim Carrey. If youre up for good laugh and relaxation without much of a focusing this is the movie!
Yes Man is a decent comedy. Not quite as stupid as some of Jim Carrey's other work. Worth a watch. And the two actors do have a nice chemistry on set.
A classic Jim Carrey movie. It's hard not to laugh at Jim Carrey's antics and zany comedy skills. A cute story that has you laughing and cheering him on. Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanels have great chemistry.
This is a really funny comedy! I have watched it a few times now and every single time I laugh. It is so entertaining and Jim Carrey is such a funny comedian!
Jim carrey is an actor that I do like a lot, he's pretty funny in most movies. This movie is pretty funny and cute at the same time. Over all good movie.
What do you think, have you seen it?
Yes Man is a return to form for Jim Carrey, who combines some of the manic energy of his early work with a touch of maturity from his dramatic experience. The script causes the film to suffer at times, but Carrey's chemistry with Zooey Deschanel is unmistakable and allows the movie to carry through to the end. While Yes Man is certainly not the comedy of the year, it's a film that most Carrey fans will enjoy that may even deliver for those who didn't like his Dumb and Dumber stage.
The film stars Carrey as Carl Allen, a loan officer who is very well-acquainted with the word “no.” Pity the poor person who’s applied for a loan from him; having been dumped by his girlfriend three years ago, Carl has rejected every offer, proposition, request, question and notion that comes his way. When his friend Nick (Michael Higgins) gets him to come along to a self-help seminar, he runs afoul of the seminar’s head, Terrance Bundley (Stamp). Terrance preaches about the power of the word “yes,” and manages to talk Carl into a pact where he says yes to everything that comes his way. After several mishaps with this, he meets Allison (Deschanel). Allison is a bohemian type, very much Carl’s opposite, who conducts photo-jogging classes and sings in a rock band. Of course, the two hit it off and Allison’s free spirit finds plenty of opportunities for Carl to say yes, except one.
Bottom line it is a good rental!
