3D Lashes
I have tried this over and over and find I get better results from my drug store brand that's only $6 compared to $35. It's a choice though. I find that the fibers get everywhere and my lashes don't look the way I want them too.
I have used this mascara a few times only because I have heard many good things about it....such as it will add volume and give you a ridiculous amount of length. However when I go to use it I find that it does neither. If anything I find that it clumps and makes my lashes look spidery. This product is not cheap....i believe it is around $35. You get a tube of mascara and a tube of fibers. I have not had fiber fall out but again I just do not feel that it did much for me. I would rather spend $10 and get an amazing result when I use covergirl lashblast. Sometimes more expensive does not mean it is a better product.
The claim to extend lashes is a bit exaggerated. I found it a bit clumpy and it is far too much bother to use 2 different tubes to apply mascara, especially when in a hurry.
Not sure if I am going to buy this again. It is not as simple to apply .The fibers are every where where you don't want them and it sometimes looks all spidery. But it can give the appearance of fuller longer lashes.I guess you have to do the trial and arrow thing.
This product gave me some of the best eyelashes i have ever had... for about 25 minutes until it caused extreme discomfort. The fibers you attach seem a bit messy but once you "seal" them they stay put for a while making them appear to be beautiful. However, the little black fibers were falling into my eyes all day at work (i work in low-movement office position) I was not even disturbing or rubbing my eyes, they were just shedding like crazy & caused my eyes to be bloodshot and sore. I couldnt wait to get home and wash my eyes out and get that stuff off. I am in the process of returning this product and taking them up on their "love it guarantee." I do not recommend this product.
Although this Mascara has done wonders for other women, it just did not do it for me! For the price, you would expect a flawless application. But with the two step application process, with the liquid gel, and then the fibers the fall out of the fibers no matter how many times I tried to seal them with a second coat of the gel just kept happening. Not only that but after a few uses I would always find that my gel had dried out, and did not stay good for long. It always made my eye lashes look like spider legs, and the fibers would break off so my lashes looked uneven.
Younique has many great products! but this one just isn't one, despite the company revamping their formula 3 times, it is still the same result for me.
I had purchased this when a friend of mind hosted a direct sales party. I was pretty excited to give it a try. Personally, I do not find it worth the money you spend. Not a huge difference between it and some of the drug store brands. 3 stars for effectiveness only because I learned if you use a blow dryer to curl your lashe's it works better.
The first couple of times I used this, it worked out great! Gave my lashes length and volume. After a few uses though, the gel must have dried out or something, because my lashes just looked spidery. They were not just spidery like my lashes stuck together, but spidery like a hairy tarantula's legs. The gel didn't tame the fibres as well, and my individual lashes looked like they had hair growing off them. A friend of mine wanted to see how they looked like before she took the plunge to purchase her own, so I did one eye using one coat of the Younique 3D fibre lashes, and the other eye using one coat of my usual mascara. They looked exactly the same! So for less effort (and less money), I was able to get the same effect using regular mascara. So i don't think it's worth it.
I am a Younique presenter and I am going to give an honest review about this mascara. I'm pretty sure there's a new formula in the works. I am just finishing the stock that I have left because I don't want to sell anything that I don't really recommend. Plus I have already paid for it and tried hard how to make it work better for me. I have hooded eye. My lashes are short and I have Asian eyes.
I have tried blow dryer technique where you apply the gel first then fibers then blow dry your lashes to remove the fibers that didn't stick to your lashes. It worked great until the gel gets clumpy and that's another technique to keep the gel smooth and easy to apply..
so to keep the gel soft and not hard to apply, you can spray the wand with Rosewater or any toner. Lots of presenter who uses this recommend you to wash the wand every week. not all people have time to do that and will always remember.
I'm just being honest here. It worked for the first few weeks and once the gel gets hard or thick, I begin to hate it. I just think there are better mascaras out there.
Update April 13, 2017
I have tried the new formula, The third formulation that Younique has. It's actually not as bad as the second one. The brush is smaller and it doesn't dry out very fast. It made my lashes looking longer and lasted all day. No fall off, no smudges.
I was so excited to try this item because of my fine wispy eyelashes. I was so disappointed. From a distance my lashes looked full and lush. Up close, clumpy and nasty. I tried and tried all f the different tips from different advisors, but was left feeling unsatisfied.
If this had worked for me, the price would have been great!
