Great Mascara!

To start, this packaging is STUNNING! Sleek, smooth, gorgeous, and I love the blue YSL sign. I like the wand a lot and it goes on really nicely. It lasts all day! It is pricey at $40 CAD so that is why I am docking one star. Otherwise, it is fab!

Tired mama approved

When considering a mascara, I look for something eco-friendly, socially conscious, good quality, and that makes me look good. I only had seven days to test this mascara (which was gifted to me by Butterly, thank you!) so I haven't yet had the time to do in depth research. But I can tell you that the application has been very smooth, I can separate my lashes easily and don't get a lot, if any clumps. The mascara stays on for long periods of time and resists tired-mama-eye-rubbing. I was wondering how hard it would be to remove. Like I said, I'm a tired mama, and don't have a lot of energy left at the end of the day to take more than a few swipes to remove my mascara. This one made the cut, as it took the same amount of swipes to remove. Tired mama approved lol

Amazing volume!

This mascara is really good! I love that the formula is more on the thicker side which helps to build up the volume on my lashes. The colour is also very dark which makes my eyelashes really stand out. It also does an amazing job at lengthening and separating the lashes. It also does not flake, and it lasts all day. I like that it is waterproof so it does not smudge, but it is still easy to remove with a cleanser. I received this product free to try in exchange for my honest review.

Lash Longevity

When wearing makeup I like going for a natural look,
I used to be much more extreme, but being over forty, for me, less is more and more is too much.

One of my go-to basics include mascara; I have smaller almond-shaped eyes, I say my lashes are an average amount, at an average length.

My impression:

When applying the LASH CLASH WATERPROOF MASCARA
EXTREME VOLUME WATERPROOF MASCARA, I used only one coat and I did not comb it through or use a curler, so what you see in my image is the basic untouched use.

There are many tight fitting bristles in the wand; the mascara has a strong consistency, so I knew right away it is a lux brand and lives up to the YSL designer reputation.
Easy enough to apply, but I couldn't get a curl and my lashes weren't as defined/separated as I expected with so many bristles. That being said, an easy fix would be using a lash comb, but I didn't want to for the sake of this review.

What I love is the depth of color, non flaking, the longevity of the mascara - easily 24hrs of wear time and truly waterproof and needed a double cleanse to remove.

If I was to change one thing it would be the brush, but you may not have an issue.

Great mascara

This is a great mascara. It provides great volume to my lashes, adds length and provides nice colour.
It dries quickly, which caused some issues when my lashes clumped together a bit
The next time I used the mascara, I was a bit more careful when applying and didn’t have any issues with clumping
It didn’t budge all day, even when my eyes watered a bit, no budging!

YSL

Nice sleek look packaging. I wore it for the day and it smudge under my eyes. I was not doing anything strenuous either. I probably would not purchase it again.

Amazingly Waterproof!

YSL Lashclash Mascara is amazingly waterproof. I wore this mascara in the day I went to a funeral. Despite lots of tears and dabbing my eyes, my mascara stayed put and I didn’t end up with raccoon eyes! YSL Lashclash Mascara was easy to apply and didn’t clump. It lasted all day which was great. My only con is that I didn’t find it as volumizing as my other name-brand mascara. I will definitely keep this mascara in my rotation, knowing that if I swim, cry or have happy tears, my YSL Lashclash mascara will stay put!

No Smudge, No Budge

YSL Lash Clash Mascaras promise of a volumizing mascara with waterproof wear for up to 48 hours of deep color was not a lie. It lasted me through sweat and tears! The bottle is nice and sleek, blue to match the waterproof theme, and the mascara was a nice constancy, not too thick or clumpy. The brush was great for application. My lashes got instant volume and length and no clumping or smudging. The only downside is trying to remove from your skin – I typically am a messy applicator, so you need some cleanser to help get off the spots. Otherwise the YSL Lash Clash Mascara lives up to its hype.

It’s a really nice mascara, but nothing special

There are so many mascaras on the market it’s hard to say which one is good or not. I feel like most do the same thing. This falls into the category. The YSL mascara has a good formula - it doesn’t clump or flake. It provided full day coverage - I wore it for about 19-20 hours and had no issues or fallout. It would be considered a luxury product, and has the price point to match.

Great applicator

I love that I got to try this YSL Lashclash mascara for free in extra for a review. I usually always wear mascara even if I don’t wear other makeup. So it was nice to try something new. The best part of this is the applicator. It is nice and big and separates the lashes well. It also does not pick up too much product and make my lashes seem wet like other brands. The colour is dark which I like. The formula is buildable too, so you can make lashes more dramatic if you want, but I prefer more natural. The formula doesn’t clump, and lengthens and makes my lashes feel soft. My only con is that I wish it would be curling as well as lengthening and not be so expensive.
