A waterproof mascara that works!

Thank you @butterly for the opportunity to try the @yslbeauty Lashclash Mascara for free. I've only used perfume products by YSL in the past, so I was thrilled to try something from their makeup line. My first impression was that this mascara coats my lashes well. I feel like the brush can grab each lash and deposit product evenly from root to tip, giving me some really good volume. I tested its waterproof claim on various occasions, from misty weather to sweaty workouts, and it held up without smudging! I also liked that this mascara was flake-free and didn’t feel like it dried out my eyes during the day. The mascara was easy to remove with my normal oil-free eye makeup remover.

Raccoon eyes NO MORE

I’m never going back! Seriously! I love this mascara. With just one coat, instant pay off. Double cost, very thick and full! Best part, it doesn’t transfer. I struggle with my mascaras, even waterproof ones transferring and flaking but the formula is really thick yet glides on well! I would love if the brush was in a “pyramid” style so it’s easier to get the bottom lashes but it still works great as is!

Waterproof is a must!

Imagine my surprise getting this beauty in my mailbox! I almost exclusively use waterproof mascara at this point because my eyes tend to water easily so getting this in a waterproof formula was ideal and I had high expectations because I’ve seen others rave about it.

The wand is full and straight and the formula is not really wet, so I don’t experience much mess during application. This mascara dries quickly and I don’t ever get any flakes and it truly is waterproof, staying put until I use an oil-based cleanser. I found that it was easy enough to remove with proper cleansing, though sometimes I do need an extra swipe of micellar water.

This mascara lifts and adds SO much length, I was shocked! It doesn’t take much to get a bit clumped up but using a lash brush really helps to separate my lashes and I love the look it gives me. I'm noticing that light layers works much better for this as well and I've been enjoying it quite a bit.

Big & Bold

This mascara is definitely not for those looking for a natural look! It packs a punch! One coat and the volume is intense! As this product is so thick, it can be hard to get a nice smooth coat! I do love that this product comes off easily when I want it to, unlike other waterproof mascaras I’ve tried!

Not usually a fan of waterproof

I liked how this went on and stayed on well throughout my day. I don’t normally like waterproof cause of how hard it is to remove. But I did happen to have an oil based remover so that helped a lot.

Low impact but lightweight

Mister my face after app to test waterproof efficacy and there were. i streaks or smudging. this mascara is very lightweight and not clumpy at all. I just don’t feel it had much impact with a single layer so multiple layers are required for dimension and fullness

Long lasting

I might skip a full face makeup but never skip applying mascara!
I’ve been looking for a long-lasting, waterproof mascara for summer days.
I like how dark and lasting this mascara is, but unfortunately find it too heavy for my lashes. It gives that clumpy look that I personally do not like. The wand is too thick and not too easy to apply. Appreciate the opportunity to try it.

Lashes for Dayzzz

The Yves Saint Laurent Lash Clash mascara is a waterproof, extreme volume mascara. I put this to the test by wearing it a full day, had a yoga session, washed my face (trying to avoid washing my eyes) and slept in it. I was able to still get away with it on the following day. The only reason I took one star off was because I did not really like the applicator...It is just too bulky.

A good mascara

The Promise: Volume (boosted x 400) and Waterproof for 48 hours .

Verdict: I always curl my lashes before applying any mascara, so ~ of course, my lashes will look more voluminous. However, It did hold the Volume nicely until I removed it.
It is truly waterproof. It was quite a bit of work to remove it though, I had to use an oil-based makeup remover before my usual double-cleansing habit.
I tend to wear non-waterproof mascara in general but this one can be practical in summer ☀️

This mascara retails around 40$ CAD. It does keep its promise. Now, it will depends on your personal budget to splurge or not.

This Mascara is great!

I would definately purchase this mascara again! It has the perfect consistency. It's not too thin, not too thick. Goes on smooth, and not cakey. It's also nice and dark, so 2 coats stands out really nice.
