Not My Favorite

I received this product free from Butterly and YSL Beauty in exchange for my honest review. This mascara didn't work great for me. The brush of this mascara is super big and when using it, it made my lashes clump together and look chunky. I'm not sure if it would be different using another applicator brush but no one likes clumpy lashes. It was definitely waterproof-- as I had a super hard time washing it off at night. I think for the price point I expected a better mascara, for that reason and the reasons I just mentioned, I wouldn't purchase again.

Good, but I was hoping for more.

I had the opportunity to try YSL Lashclash Mascara as a free product to review. This mascara is meant to give your lashes some extra volume, plus it’s waterproof. The shade I sampled is “Ultra Black”. YSL Lashclash is not my favourite mascara but it has some good qualities. It definitely provided me with some volume/thickness to my lashes and the mascara was fairly buildable without over clumping. It’s definitely a solid, waterproof mascara and will last you all day and night. I wish that I had seen more of an improvement with the length of my lashes. But for me, the real bummer was the size and shape of the brush. They label it an oversized brush, and it is just that - I found myself tapping and smudging on my eyelids with almost each use. To me, it’s a good mascara, but I was expecting more.

YSL waterproof mascara

I love the packaging and the mascara tube itself. I wanted to love this product as I own YSL makeup however this did not do it for me. It was clumpy and it didn’t go on easy. I had to put a few layers on and I didn’t like the way it came out.
It is waterproof which is great but the overall look it gave I didn’t like it.

Too pricey

I was happy when I received this mascara because it's a high end brand and I thought it would be wow. Well I was disappointed.... It's not a bad mascara at all, but I know a lot of brand that are the quarter of the price and are better... Sorry YSL!

More of a natural looking mascara

I personally didn’t mind this mascara, but it did flake off a lot during the day, and didn’t really lengthen the lashes! The packaging is beautiful and sleek! I prefer more of a thicker lash!

Wonderful mascara

I love this mascara, makes you have very full, looking lashes. The only thing I dont like is that its extremely hard to wash off and find leftover, clumpy residue on my eyelashes afterwards. I would still purchase it and recommend to my friends though. I find it compares to my high end clinque mascara!

Stays on guaranteed

I received this product to try for free. To begin, the packaging is beautiful and it feels very regal, with the royal blue logo and the tube being almost a metal feel. I have small eyes with light and sparse lashes so I'm always looking for a light mascara that will make my eyes look awake and bright. This mascara definitely meets the 48hr guarantee and it's 100% waterproof, in fact I struggled with that part. I don't use make up remover and for this mascara you will need to be committed to using the right make up remover to get the product off your lashes, so if that's you, great, I'm just really simple in my face washing; using a gentle cleanser. If the mascara is not removed properly, you end up with clumpy/oily lashes the next day. It's just not for me.

Waterproof but lacklustre volume

I really wanted to like this YSL Lashclash Mascara more than I did after testing it out for a few weeks. The pros are it is absolutely waterproof and doesn’t give any raccoon-eyes after a day of wear/and-tear. The formula stays put and there is zero smudging or transfer. My cons however are that this mascara does not provide the volume or lash emphasis that I look for in a mascara. My lashes looked okay but not great, and barely any improvement than when I go makeup-free. I have had better results with cheaper drugstore mascaras than with this expensive designer brand. I don’t think I will consider buying this product again in the future, as there are better and less pricey alternatives that do a better job.

Bold lashes that hold up all day!!

This long wearing mascara does an amazing job at lengthening and creating voluminous lashes! I was able to wear this mascara all day without any smudging and very minimal flaking. The brush is a little big and awkward to maneuver and to get to the root/base of my lashes without smearing the product onto my eyelids. I also noticed some clumping when applied. However, it did get easier to apply once I got use to the oversized brush. I also found the waterproof formula a little more difficulty to remove at the end of the day!

Pas pour mes cils

Le mascara a beaucoup de matière, ce qui est bien et la brosse est bien. Toutefois, pour mes cils, ce n'est pas le mascara optimal : il ne les deploie pas comme je voudrais, plus de volume que de longueur et j'ai eu plusieurs résidus sur mes cils (les cils ne sont pas définis)
