A nice shimmer

These lipsticks have a great smooth texture and glide on with ease. They add a really nice shimmer and shine and provide lots of moisture to your lips.
Like most YSL products, the packaging is absolutely stunning and elegant. I prefer a more pigmented lipstick as these just add a pop of colour and shine to your lips. For the price tag I would expect a bit *more* from this brand.

I received the YSL Loveshine lip oil stick in two different colors, but apart from the colour the two products were very similar so most of this review applies to both. The packaging is beautiful. There is a noticeably tropical scent. The 150 shade is a neutral to warm light peach on my lips. It has a mild shimmer when swatching but is not very noticeable on the lips. The formula does settle into the lines of the lips requiring you to blot. The finish is very plump and shiny and feels hydrating. I love that it only has a subtle color which makes it less cumbersome to reapply frequently, which you need to do as the formula does not last very long on the lips.

The packaging is beautiful and the lip oil stick has a noticeably tropical scent. The 44 shade is a neutral to cool light pink on my lips, with a subtle shimmer on swatching that is not very noticeable on application to the lips. I did have to blot after the initial application as the product settled into the lines of my lips but looked good after blotting out. It does give a very plump shine with a light wash of colour which I love, but may be disappointing if you are used to a more typical bullet lipstick. Unfortunately the formula does not last long on the lips and needs to be reapplied frequently. It feels very moisturizing. Overall, I loved this product but wish it were a bit longer lasting.

Gorgeous nude shade, hydrating and long-lasting

I love the creamy and hydrating texture, which makes applying so easy. That shine also last a long time. It fades gracefully after you drink or eat, you still have that almost perfect finish!

I love the Loveshine but not this colour on me

I really love the formulation but just not this colour in me. The lipstick is gorgeous even before you open it up. The tube is just stunning and even the box is perfect. It stays in oh so well, but the colour is just didn’t look right on me.

A little pale but wearable

I was sent shades 44 and 150 in return for my honest reviews. I have to say that 44 was not my favourite only because I've got naturally pigmented lips so the colour looked a bit ashy on me. I would say if you've got pigmented lips and deeper brown skin, you can get away with wearing a very thin layer of this colour or pairing it with a brown liner. Other than the shade itself, the lipstick was so comfortable to wear and so moisturizing. It honestly just felt like a luxury lip balm and I love that!

No fuss application

I was sent two of these lipsticks to try in return for my honest review. Before having received them, I did see the hype they got all over social media and really thought that's all it was - hype. After trying it for myself, I can say that the formula is absolutely perfect. It is sheer and buildable so you can make pretty much any shade work for you. It's also incredibly moisturizing and comfortable to wear. Shade 150 was a beautiful natural warm pink on my pigmented lips. I could wear it easily without a lip liner and even reapply without a mirror. These lipsticks are pretty pricey for something I can see myself using up pretty quickly so I docked one star for that.

High quality lip oil

This is product glides on the lips and leaves them feeling slick. It's a great hydrating feel with hljust a hint of colour. I love the high quality feel of it.
