Nice light shimmer with a hint of color

I received the YSL LOVESHINE LIPSTICK for free in exchange for my honest review. I don't normally wear lipstick but since this more of a lip sheer glow it was perfect for me. It glides on so nicely but it doesn't last long if you are eating or drinking. I have sensitive lips and this did not dry out my lips at all.

Beautiful glow on the lips

I have always been a fan of YSL beauty products but when I finally have the chance to try their lipstick, I was overall quite happy with the packaging and the quality of the product however, with somebody who has a darker toned lip, I wish the pigmentation was a little more visible. I think this would be a great colour to blend with colour visible, but I would continue trying the rest of the YSL beauty line and other lip colours again.

Really lovely but…

I received this product free to try in addition to one other colour from YSL beauty and Butterly. I really love the formula. It is so sleek, soft and smooth. My main issue is that the colour doesn’t last very long. It comes off really, really easily so it needs to be reapplied a lot. It is extremely hydrating so I think it works better as a lip balm and a lipstick. I think if the colour lasted longer I would absolutely purchase it again. I love the shade, it’s subtle, but clearly something is on your lips. Sometimes a nude glossy lipstick can be sticky, and this isn’t sticky at all, which is really nice. The packaging is really nice, it feels like good quality, it’s got some weight to it, which is really nice. Overall, I think it’s a good product!

Lovely formula but…

Love the hydration n shine the lipstick provides

I received the YSL Loveshine Lipstick in shade 44 a couple of weeks ago. I like wearing lipstick to work but never leave home or go anywhere without a lip balm on me. I don’t wear lipstick to work of late as much as I work from home and prefer to use lip balms. This lipstick was a revelation because I used it on a day when I had lots of Zoom video meetings back to back. I usually find that my lipstick is gone and needs reapplication after just one meeting. This one was more like a light lipstick meets tinted lip oil meets hydrating lip balm. I love the light pink colour and I love how despite the fact that I had only applied it once, it left my lips looking shiny (like a gloss) but more importantly left them feeling so hydrated!!
Even with my lip balm, I’m usually reapplying it after every few hours, and I kind of expected the same would happen with this one. I was really not expecting it to keep my lips looking nice while feeling so soft and hydrated the entire day!
So I looked at the ingredients and found that it’s enriched with fig pulp and six pure oils

The colour is buildable and I haven’t used it with a lip liner underneath but I’m sure it would give an amazing glossy tint to it as well.
I am in love with this lipstick and I love how it gave my lips just a hint of colour with oodles of hydration and kept them feeling soft all day and night!
I definitely recommend the YSL Loveshine Lipstick.

Love the shine and hydration the lipstick provides
