This is a Generic form of Yasmin. I don't use it for birth control, I use it for its other intended purpose..to treat acne vulgaris. I had tried EVERYTHING...spent $200 a month on trying products that claimed to get rid of oil, blackheads, and acne! Within 2 weeks of taking Zarah, I noticed a difference. My family doctor commented on my face looking less oily, at my next visit! Even my blackheads and pores are under control, now! This is also affordable, and comes in the cutest package! I LOVE this stuff! If you have tried everything for your acne, and nothing works..talk to your doctor or any pharmacist about your options, including birth control. I was VERY reluctant to take it at first, as I don't need it for birth control...but right on the package it states that it is also for mild to moderate acne vulgaris. I also have lighter periods, and I know exactly when they will be. You may also skip the week of sugar pills and go right to the next box if you would benefit from skipping your period entirely! [check with your doctor or pharmacist, first!]
