Definitely worth trying

A year ago I ended up getting my first cold sore in the corner of my mouth. It was rather annoying but I dealt with it without using any product. A month later, I started to feel another one in the same spot. I started to notice a trend right before i got my period (and I am just entering perimenopose). After asking some friends who have had cold sores before, they recommended that I go get a prescription from my doctor; however it was a Saturday late afternoon and decided I needed to nip it in the bud before it went full blown. So I did some online research and came across Zilactin that said it was a good early relief gel. I decided to give it a try since it was only $8. I put it on that afternoon and continued to put it on several times a day and the cold sore was stopped in its tracks. Definitely recommend this if you don't have prescription coverage and feel you have one coming on. Since using it I have only noticed a cold sore starting 2 other times in the last year and zilactin has taken care of it before it could fully come out.

It burns like no other..but I think it works

I have tried pretty much every cold sore remedy under the sun, except Zilactin, until recently. It is alcohol-based and for use on the first signs of a coldsore. So far, I think it is working. It also works well on simple pimples (that rhymed! lol). Asides from the intense burning, it's a great product. If you can withstand the first 10 seconds of having it on your face, it becomes much each to apply a bit more afterwards. DO NOT put it on anything but individual spots as it will cause chemical burns to your skin (I learned the hard way). I will buy this product again.

Incredible Cold Sore Relief

I ran out of my brand of coldsore treatment the other day just as i was feeling that familiar tingling that i dred so much. While looking for my brand, I saw Zilactin, and hearing a great review from a friend about it plus the fact that it was 10 bucks cheaper than my brand ...I thought why not.....
Absolutely no regrets!!! It burns the second you put it on, but Omgoodness do you ever feel it working. The sting goes away quickly with a feeling of relief as the Zilactin forms a barrier to protect as you eat and drink. I've used this for 3 applications now and there is zero pain left and my coldsore is healing nicely. You do need to be careful as the active ingredient may cause burning around the sore if gets in contact.
I highly recommend this to anyone in need of instant relief!!!
