One coat on my water line is enough, I don't have to go over it to increase the darkness. It goes on black, and lasts a long time without fading. I used it during a day out and 6hrs later it was still going strong. Very smooth, and easy to apply.

This was a disappointment, the eyeliner goes on well but it smudges way too easily if you use it as a top lid liner. The price is way too high for the quality of the product, Smashbox has some great products but this is not one of them.

I swear by this eyeliner pencil. It is long wearing and goes on smoothly so it is gentle on your sensitive skin around the eyes. Smudge free and won’t run in the corners of the eyes. Sharpens beautifully every time. Love this pencil!

I like to wear zero smudge liner in black on the upper lid. I create a dramatic lift at the outer corners, and use a light eyeshadow in cream color on the rest of my lid. It takes a little longer to apply in short even brushes, but so worth it.
