Lip Balms & Treatments Reviews

Cracking, peeling, chapping, and redness: all these evils are quickly nixed with a soothing swipe of your favourite lip balm.  Best of all, most lip balm lines now blend medicine-cabinet-functionality with beauty-basket-gorgessity.  Many brands are also looking to food-grade and organic ingredients for your peace of mind to go with that sweet 'n sassy pucker.

Top names in lip balm on ChickAdvisor are Burt's Bees, Softlips, and Carmex, with Smith's Rosebud Salve and Kiehl's #1 in hot pursuit. Bonne Bell is there with their flavoured Lip Smackers, bringing us that 7th-grade Dr Pepper nostalgia.

I tried this lip balm but did not get used to the flavor. I prefer the no flavor ones. This one I felt it was too strong and gave me nausea every time I used it so I gave up.

I've tried many Burt's Bee's lip balm flavours. This might just be my favourite one! The cherry smell is strong, and perhaps not for everyone. To me, wild cherry is a very invigorating and sensual scent. As for the product itself, it works very well! I've never experienced...

Kiehl’s Love Oil for Lips

Kiehl's is a great brand, but a little on the expensive side, you are paying for quality. This lip oil works really well, didn't dry out my lips, and gave them a slight pink tinge and a nice glossy finish.
Grove Collaborative Mint & Argan Lip Balm

I like the minty flavour and cooling effect on my lips. Its packaging is very sophisticated & chic. Its texture is a little grainy (not sure if that's how it's supposed to be) but I don't mind it as it doubles as a lip exfoliant that way. Only downside is I have to reapply...

When it comes to lip balms I am very discerning. Not snooty, but only certain combinations work for me. I have tried the expensive and the economical but very few make my cut. I can only wear lipstick with a balm so I have to ensure that formulas are creamy and not greasy...

I got the mocha and absolutely love it. It goes on so smooth and is very moisturizing. The color has enough pigment to give a nice wash on my lips. I've also used it on my cheeks for a dewy look. I'm going back to get the peachy pink next, I cannot recommend this enough! You get...
Chapstick Pumpkin Pie

I’ve learned way too much about Chapstick to ever use it again. I received their fall flavor “Pumpkin Pie “ which would be great, but their product is just not good for you. It’s full of mineral oil, toxic dyes, paraffins and other bad chemicals. I simply could not...

NIVEA lip balm, pearly shine

Not a fan of this product. While using it, it left a white residue on my lips that was gross. Personally not a fan of water-based lip balm as it is not effective for healing my dry lips during the winter. I would not recommend.
