Cracking, peeling, chapping, and redness: all these evils are quickly nixed with a soothing swipe of your favourite lip balm. Best of all, most lip balm lines now blend medicine-cabinet-functionality with beauty-basket-gorgessity. Many brands are also looking to food-grade and organic ingredients for your peace of mind to go with that sweet 'n sassy pucker.
Top names in lip balm on ChickAdvisor are Burt's Bees, Softlips, and Carmex, with Smith's Rosebud Salve and Kiehl's #1 in hot pursuit. Bonne Bell is there with their flavoured Lip Smackers, bringing us that 7th-grade Dr Pepper nostalgia.

Burt's Bees lip balms are my go to and I always have multiple tubes in different flavors. The Dark Cherry is definitely one of my new favorites! The quality and effectiveness I've grown to expect is there along with a pleasant cherry scent and flavor that is not overly chemical...

This lip chap would be a good product for kids if they want to just play around and have fun. It is not good, in my opinion, for actually relieving dry lips. I have a little sister and she gave me one of her lip balms. I found the smell is very mild. The lip balm itself has...

I purchased this product not realizing it was just a balm, however it is the most nourishing feeling balm i've worn. Not sticky with a pleasant pinky tint.

Avon's Care Deeply lip balm is certainly a real bargain. I believe I paid mine less than 2 dollars. It's a very rich and emollient lip balm, so if you have really dry lips, this will help keep them hydrated and healthy looking. I found the texture to be too greasy-feeling on my...

The colour is very nice (a bright reddish pink) but I just can't use this product on its own. It only works when I use a lip balm underneath, the formula is just too dry and gritty. It also tends to crumble on my lips, which is a deal breaker for me. It also smells and tastes...

This shimmery lip balm is all the rage! I love the way it feels on my lips! The color is great and it always fits in any purse i choose to bring that day. I always get compliments on the color (02- breeze) and I never find myself needing to reapply. I would recommend this...

I bought this from Bath & Body Works. It has a nice lemon scent...almost like a lemon cookie or candy to me. It applies very thick, a bit too thick, so I have to be careful when applying. It makes my lips moisturized and soft.

I had high expectations of this product based on reviews that I’ve read but was overall disappointed. It does initially moisturize however the effects are very very short-lived and actually results in your lips being drier after. There are far better products out there.

This didn't end up working for me. I was very excited to find it, as it's fairly locally produced and comes in a really cute metal tin. Well the balm is way to hard, I can't get it onto my lips, it's, so it's not worth the work. It has a faint blackberry scent.

My good friend recommended this balm for me, and I really enjoy the way it conditions my lips. I feel that my lips are healed and moisturized without any weird residue. Great for cold winter months. It's on the more expensive side of balms, but still worth it for me.

Bought a 3 pack of the "wild berry" flavour and I love it. As an organic product, the smell and taste is not the greatest (very mild and natural smell), but I don't mind this since I know it was made with simple natural ingredients. I love the packaging and size, and it is very...

This lip crayons are 7.99 for package of 5 lip balm crayons, which I bought at Winners. The lip balms have Shea Butter and Vitamin E in them. The colours are all neutral colours, which can be worn alone or over your lipstick for a gloss, they also smell delicious.

A fun twist on an old classic, this is a great lipbalm especially in the winter. It glides onto the lips smoothly and if applied onto fresh exfoliated lips, this lasts all morning. Also a good base under lipsticks.

I saw NYC show time lip balm in store and thought it was a great lipstick on budget to keep a spare in my bag. I was wrong. Turned out that it is a very nice, lightly tinted lip balm. I tried it and fell in love with it. I applied it overnight, and in morning, my thick scales...

I am a huge fan of clarins products. However, this is not my favourite. It work a great if you use it as a lip balm. It's super moisturizing with a matte finish.
I do not like it as a lipstick base. It's not really tacky enough to the lipstick to adhere to. I didn't find my...
