I have two cats and this vacuum gets up all of their pet hair easily. Lift away canister allows me to bring it on the stairs without hurting my back. Have had a Dyson in the past and this one is better.

The vacuum didn't come with any battery, and it was expected. Hence, the price reflected that. We already had the batteries from other Makita set. This was a great little handheld unit. Easy to use for a quick vacuum job. Would recommend if you already have Makita battery.
