Strolling down the Wellington st., I came across an interesting sign saying 259 Host, nestled in the Marriott hotel. Quiet intrigued we decided to go inside and found out this is the new venture from the owners of the famous Host Indian restaurant. There were quiet a few people dining considering it was only there second day of opening.

We found this is not your average Indian restaurant. There's no patterned carpet or overdose of Indian display figures instead a very sophisticated and gorgeous setting with a great display of wine cellar. The restaurant is on two floors and you can see the chef’s working through the glass window. We decided to stay for dinner.

The menu have some very interesting dishes, cheese croquettes with mellow brie cheese was excellent as an appetizer. We ordered lamb medallion roganjosh curry and butter chicken. All the dishes came with sides of fresh bread, rice and lentils. The food was artistically presented on expensive china. . We ordered an Australian Shiraz recommended by sommelier an excellent accompaniment to the food.

We loved the food, top quality (especially the Kulfi ice cream dessert!) and top marks for ambience. Staff is cheerful, friendly and quick to serve
