So I started this in February of this year. I initially started because I moved to fort St. John, which is a small city north of B.C. As you can imagine there wasn't a lot to do up there so I joined and I loved it! The staff was motivational and super friendly. You could tell they really love their job. Once I moved back I went to the surrey location and was less than happy, but I was contacted by the surrey owner and she was amazing. I definitely recommend this program. It's a full body work out with the
Convenience of being done in half an hour. The membership varies from $60-$30.

The work out literally takes all of 30 minutes, so leaves plenty of time for me to get home and make dinner! The premise is that you spend 2 minutes at each station "boxing" with gloves, alternating between upper body and lower body. There are 12 stations in total, with 2 that work on your abs. There's a short rest (like 20 seconds) between each station. The work out is great after a rough day at work where you literally just want to "hit" something to let off some steam. It's a great cardio work out. The instructors at my location are great, very personable and encouraging, and more importantly they will push you! I liked that during my 1 week trial, there was no pressure to buy a membership.

Here are my "negatives". Like Curves the concept is do your 30 minutes and get out. There's no additional equipment (or room) for weight lifting, or more ab work etc., that most gyms have. I'm at the Vancouver location (Clark and 2nd) which is in an industrial area, in what looks like a garage. In the summer, it's hot and stuffy (no air con) and in the winter, it's freezing (no heat).... all this aside, yes, I still enjoy coming here because I love the boxing aspect of it. They are not opened 7 days a week, depending on the location. Closed Sundays. And the hours are usually in the morning and after work, so not really good if you work shift work.

Pricing: it's not the cheapest around. I pay about $65 per month including taxes.

I've been a member for almost one year (joined Sept. 2011) and visit about 2-3 times a week. I rotate this work out with other work outs such as Zumba, an outdoor bootcamp class now and then, plus my daily walks to keep things interesting.
