I have been to 5 Guys Burgers and Fries once and probably will not go back. When I first went in there were peanut shells everywhere floors and tables. I am not a big fan of burgers anyways,but like to put my own condiments on, but they put everything on, I thought the food was greasy also. Will not hurry back.
5 Guys Burgers and Fries;
at my worker, half employees like, and half don't
I am on the don't side....
sooo greasy
so heavy!
stomach feels so heavy for hours afterwards
portions are huge but does not mean good quality...
expensive for burger with fries than other places
takes long to make
was not as healthy as I would think, taking the time to prepare
After hearing so many people rave about this place, I had to go! I ordered a burger and fries (which was over $10). The burger was really greasy and poorly made. The fries were nothing special.. overly greasy and nothing special about them. I haven't been back because it's too expensive to get a burger and fries (no drink) that are too greasy.
5 guys is our favourite place for burgers and fries. They make them to order so you know you're getting a quality, fresh product. The staff are normally cheery and happy to be at work. It is always an enjoyable experience.
When we were in Mesa, AZ last year we ate at the 5 Guys there. Wow, burgers are made fresh and you get to pick what condiments you want on your burger (kinda like going to Subway and picking what you want on your sub). We order a small frys as they always put an extra scoop of frys in the bag so you end up with more frys than you can eat. While you're waiting for your burger to be cooked you can just walk over to the sacks of peanuts in the shell and munch away on peanuts while you wait. Or, and you throw the peanut shells on the floor!! Really a cook place to eat. Great food and atmosphere.
I visited 5 Guys Burgers and Fries in Etobicoke on North Queen, near Sherway Gardens Mall. I ordered a pop, burger and fries! My fries were fresh and seasoned with a variety of spices. I liked that they displayed the location of the place where the potatoes were purcahsed - quite interesting, if it's accurate! The burger was just alright, sort of ended up tasting a bit soggy.
I would say that all in all, it was average. The wait time was a bit long - about 15 minutes, which might account for the sogginess of my burger!
New Burger franchise that has made it to Edmonton, AB and I have been twice. Service was good and quick and you get a lot of toppings to pick from and everything is made fresh. The only thing I would say is that they don't have an official Kids menu and if your kids are burger eaters then you are going to be paying minimun $5.99 for a hamburger, I understand that you are subsidizing the plethora of toppings but most kids like the basics so something under the $5 price point with some fries would be ideal. I will be back but maybe not for a few months.
