I've had Brazilian waxes from so many different salons and even though I've had really good ones, there’s just something about my experience that makes me want to try something different.

Sometimes the aesthetician talks too much, sometimes the studio is dirty, sometimes they suck and the waxing process hurts much more than usual, sometimes they're always booked and you can never get an appointment. Who knows, I've gone through every single one of these scenarios. At the other Spa I went to, I had a different aesthetician every time I went because they quit/were fired/ who knows.

I tried Aroma because of all the reviews online and all those 5 stars for waxing and facials!?!??!

It had to be good. I booked online and they literally confirm my appointment 10 minutes later. I was shocked, because they were so on top of their stuff.

I walked in, nervous as hell because of a traumatic experience at a spa that shouldn't be named, and I was immediately greeted and was offered tea, water..etc.

Mary is the nicest aesthetician in the world and it just feels like she could be your best friend.

She does my eyebrows, the upper lips, and then she does the underarms. Usually they hurt. Some people wax it all in one go and some do it in little strips because the growth pattern is abnormal... either way, it hurts a bunch because all of it is getting out at once or its pain for 5 minutes.

I'm telling you.. there's technique involved at this salon that's a secret. How does someone put a THIN layer of wax on my armpits, waxes EVERYTHING in one strip, gets all of it out (aside from the stubborn strays), and it not hurt that much?

I don't have a high pain tolerance. I can't get shots from the doctor and stubbing my toe hurts like a mother... but I handled this entire visit just fine.

Oh, and the Brazilian.

Lets just say that I've gone to spas that put anesthetic (you know, the cream that NUMBS the area?) on my lady parts and it hurt less than those visits. I'm telling you, it’s the magic wax and the breathing thing she made me do. The MOST PAINFUL PART OF THE WAX didn't even hurt. It literally felt like someone just peeled off a band-aid.

The best parts?

1. I got 4 areas waxed and I was out in 25 minutes. At other places, they don't even do a thorough job and it takes 30 minutes just for the Brazilian wax.

2. I told her I was headed to the gym right after and she stressed that it wasn't a good idea because I would be sweating and I could get bacteria in my pores and start breaking out. Who does that? Every time I've mentioned working out after a wax to my aesthetician (i don't know why I always head out to get my fitness on after a wax now that I think about it....) they never said anything. Obviously, she's a good listener and she knows the aftercare of waxing.

Aroma has won my heart and because I know they're so popular, I already scheduled my next appointment before walking out of the salon. Yep. They're that amazing.

I have been going to Mary for quite a few years (followed her from her previous salon). Probably about a dozen of my friends go to see her as well... She's really fast, very thorough and above all really great to chat with which I think helps to keep your mind off of the pain.
Everything is very clean and hygienic, nothing is reused and all the women working there are wonderful

I have also received facials from Mary. I have very sensitive skin, and she makes sure to see that I am comfortable (temperature, pressure, etc..). She is very good with follow up upon the next visit to make sure everything was ok after the previous time, with breakouts or dryness.

I chose this place because it was cheaper compared to other places I was looking up (leg waxing). Also they were great cause they were open late. Anyway I got there and the service was great. Best part they were super FAST... i think they are self proclaimed fastest waxing in the city. Like i was in and out in 30 mins. Also Aala was really nice and gave me some great tips.

Another good part, Tues and Wed (i think) are also 10% off or something like that (call and ask I don't want to be quoted on this). So you save even more! wow!!

I do not know where to begin with Aroma Wellness Clinic And Spa!
It is the best of everything, completely in its own league.

Skincare at it's ultimate best.
Alaa truly knows her stuff and leaves nooo pore unturned, with such preciseness that you don't look like you just emerged from some cat fight like you would with most extraction sessions even half this thorough.
You will easily be in there for 75 minutes plus of the best treatment your skin will ever receive!
The time sounds daunting but manages to fly by as Alaa herself is amazing to chat with and a joy to be around even amidst massive pore excavation and the like.

Alaa goes far beyond the facial, deep in to every element of skin care, from products to effects of life in general!
She is not pushy whatsoever, and has even gone as far as to ask me to return products I have had for months because she didn't feel they were the ideal fit for me and then even give me a deal on a new, even better suited line.
She manages to simultaneously maintain budget sensitivity while ensuring your skin is in the best possible care. She genuinely cares and is always utilizing her expertise beyond belief.
On top of that she will get back to any call or email at shooting star speed always with the most valuable answers and solutions, never ever would he brush off or race through any concern.

I have only experienced Alaa's facials and, consequently, do not ever want to even try anyone else, but I am positive that anyone working with him in Aroma Wellness Clinic And Spa is unparalleled as well. This skin care is not a fluffy spa day facial but actually speedway to amazing skin tailored best for you.
Then you factor Dr. Eileen in to the equation, and you are amazed that these 2 have found their respective match! She is equally amazing and with a massive amount of industry knowledge, skill, and just overall incredible thought and logic. She will not only patiently but also very precisely address any concerns you may have. I almost feel guilty at how quick he will email back as she is that dedicated and genuinely caring. As you can tell just by looking at her and Alaa's glowing faces, they both hold themselves to utmost perfection and want the same for you as their valued client, which shows in literally everything they do.

Everything about Aroma Wellness follows this lead, with ever so pleasant and full of life Mary being on top of any appointment or treatment concerns with quick email and phone communication and the clean yet fun atmosphere of the space itself . . . all topped off by the amazing teas and candy which are always of focus as one (such as myself) finds themselves at the front desk.

The location is a nice touch as well, conveniently located in Mirvish village hiding in between the Annex and Coreen town . Appointments (particularly for Ala's sessions) do indeed take some planning ahead and are indeed an investment, but this is your face and it is just about the best investment one can make for a bright and long tern youthful version of yourself that is worth far more than anything else you can buy to feel your best. For what you get at Aroma wellness Clinic and spa it is actually quite the steal for which I feel excited to have found and I am sure that anyone else would feel just as privileged going here as everything at Aroma is truly top notch.

I absolutely LOVE Mary. Damn she rocks!

I set up my appointment online through the Craiglist or kijiji. When I showed up for my appointment I was welcomed and taken back for my brazilian wax.
I've been here 3 times so far, Mary performed my first brazilian and full leg wax. She talked to me the entire way through, and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Trust me, if you're nervous, there's no need to be, Mary has a mouth on her and will keep you distracted and laughing through it all.

The second time I went here, I got waxed by Alaa (am I spelling that right?). She was thorough as shit! She made sure she got every little hair by tweezing after waxing - it was well appreciated. Luckily I knew what to expect (as far as pain) because she wasn't very talkative. I don't want to be the one to hold the conversation, as all I'm thinking about is how my little hairs are crying as they're being ripped out!

The third time I went, I was waxed by Mary again, and it was much like catching up with an old friend.

I absolutely love this place. All I can say is, make your appointments EARLY, cause they book fast (you should be making appointments after you're done with one and paying for it).
The guy at the front desk is so nice you want to give him a cupcake and a hug for being so cute, and my experience there was stellar. Can't wait to go back!
