SO DISAPPOINTED

we have always gone for SPECIAL occasions to this restaurant. This time it was so disappointing. It took over 1 hour before the food was finally served.
The meal was lukewarm, the chicken over-cooked so much so that I had to ask for a steak knife to actually cut it - but I did not want to wait another hour before a replacement would be served.
The prices have always been on the HIGH site - but for SPECIAL occasion one would take that in consideration. However, now the prices are way too high.

BATON ROUGE (Eaton Center)
This was my friend's choice. She loves eating there and has her favourite meals. She used to go all the time when her boyfriend worked there. I ordered the steak and ti was just okay. My steak was not done the way it was supposed to. It was undercooked - but since I hate the flavour of meat that has been returned to the grill, I just ate it. The rest of the meal was good, but for a steak house, you'd expect that the steak was amazing. The meal was good, other than the steak, but I wouldn't say it was great. I was underwhelmed - and its not an experience that will stand out in my mind when I think of where I want to go next time. I wish there was a 'sitting on the fence' option of whether I'd recommend it.

I didn't expect to like this Restaurant since it's a steak house and because I really don't like to eat any kind of red meat. But their chicken and vegetable dishes are so rich with flavour and you get a lot of food on your plate. (I usually end up bring home a big doggy bag) I also loved that they had a nice variety in cocktails in their menu to pick from. I always like trying something new but my favourite is their Raspberry Tom Collins. And when I want to cheat for a special occasion I have to have a piece of their cream cheese red velvet cake. It is soooooo good! The cake is nice, light and not too sweet. Their servers are always friendly, approachable and eager to please you at every opportunity. But like most popular restaurants on busy nights like Friday's, Saturday's it can get really hopping and get a tad loud & slow. Otherwise I like to go to it for special nights and great food.
