Okay, so I have been purchasing various products at the beauty supply store at the Upper James location for years now. I have spent a lot of money on products for my 2 daughters in their twenties and my mom. I purchased 4 cans of Shaper hair spray this past Dec and when i went to use my last can the nozzel did not work. I tried everything but no success. I went to the store took my defective can of spray went to purchase 3 more and spoke to the owner about replacing the can that didn't work. Simple right? WRONG! Not only would she not replace the hair spray but she contined to say there is nothing she could do. She ownes the franchise but wanted me to believe that she was unable to replace a can of hair spray.Very poor customer service and very poor business decision. I will never purchase anything from her store again, went to dinner with a bunch of women friends last night and told them my story, we all roared with laughter at how how stupid and short sighted this ignorant owner is. Love the variety of the products at the store but if you have a problem you are on you own. So fugheddaboutit! Due to the poor customer service it is no wonder this owner cannot keep her staff very long she is a dim whit she embarressed herself in front of her staff and the customers with her poor judgement. She went to give me back the hair spray and I told her to keep it. Honestly what did she want me to do with it, it doesn't work which she confirmed! I told her to add it to the collection of defective bottles she had in the back. Hmmm I have some other ideas about where she can put it. Lol lol lol

So I recently decided to go from brown to blonde on my OWN (afterall, I will be starting Hair Design school shortly and thought I should maybe get a head start on knowledge of colouring :P). Anyways, to make a long story short, I decided to visit the local Beauty Supply Outlet here in Hamilton and I thought they deserve some praise where earned!!! I had read some positive reviews on other sites about them and thought I would try the store. They were SO helpful and friendly, and they make you feel like you knew them personally and have talked so many times in the past!! They walked around the store with me giving me honest and excellent advice and I left with a smile on my face and eager to dye my hair!! Not to mention, it all turned out GREAT in the end as far as my colouring went :) I just thought I'd post this because I have worked many years in customer service and some people do not get enough positive feedback when they DO give great service!!
