I love the beavertails that you can get in the market in Ottawa. My boyfriend and I will go and get them once every few months and walk around. They are a great treat, especially in the winter. All of the flavours are absolutely delicious, and the beavertail itself is so good on its own! Love it

They are maple pastry, traditionally served with cinnamon and sugar, but many other options, such as banana and chocolate, now exist. This place is usually fairly quick, accommodating large volumes of people in busy season and they often are open late, especially on weekends. The staff have always been very kind. You can purchase beverages like hot chocolate here as well, and there are tables around the hut for people to sit down.
