Best buy has a great selection for electronics but the prices are quite high.
Also, I find that the service is not great. Since Best Buy bought out Future Shop
the employees do not make commission. I find the employees don't take the time
to learn about the products they sell and don't have the initiative to help customers.
Best Buy Canada has lost my business. Last year, I bought - rather TRIED to buy a smart TV online for my birthday. They sent me a regular LCD that was a few sizes smaller than what I had actually purchased. When I contacted the customer service department I was told they would not give my money back. Nor would they take the TV back because I got it on sale. This has been a thorn in my side for more than nine months now. I still have the TV, but had to buy a casting stick in order to use it as a smart-ish TV.
I'm not sure how they operate in-store, but I know their online store and service is absolutely terrible.

I like the products and the sales at best buy but the staff aren't the greatest. Its hard to find someone to help you and once you do they tend to be of little assistance. The cashiers are generally nice but the floor people aren't.
I bought my son a phone there. The service was terrible. The man helping me put the phone plan in my name after I repeatedly asked to have it in my dons name. He was more interested in what else he could sell me than helpung me with the phone my son wanted.
