Bloor is full of sushi options with new ones popping up on a weekly basis, but none of them compare to Big Sushi.

1) Not too big and not too small.
Some sushi restaurants on Bloor make huge rolls with WAAAY to much rice , its too filling, leaves you feeling bloated and takes away from the overall experience. Big Sushi (despite their name) makes the perfect sized roll!
2) Never a line up.
Why wait 20 minutes for sushi. The whole beauty is it is quick and easy. Waiting in line and making reservations just doesnt seem right.
3) The alaska roll
Cucumber, avocado, crab and salmon. DELICIOUS!
4) I heart booth seating.
In some sushi restaurants you are sitting on top of your neighbours. The spacious booths at Big Sushi are comfortable, spacious and give you the necessary space at a restaurant.
5) This is biased...but it is so close to my house and I really enjoy that fact!

It's a little restaurant and not that well known (on the corner of Bloor and Bathurst (actually Brunswick Ave) but my friends and I used to go many times a week when we lived closer. The spicy salmon rolls are the best in my opinion, but in all honesty, everythings good! The price is really great and cheaper than other places. You get a lot for your money. The only thing I'd complain about is the service. Sometimes the food takes a while to prepare, but that's understandable since the food is made fresh. But also, tsome of the servers don't speak English that well so sometimes there might be misunderstandings, but the food definately makes up for it. The food leaves the biggest impression. The management is really nice as well.
