This was an amazing experience. I finished a bootcamp in May and as a treat we decided to go to a detox water spa in Toronto as our reward.

The therapeutic waters cost $48 dollars for a singe visit and you can stay as long as you like. A group of us stayed for over 2 hours and it was just divine.

The spa offers a laminated map of which pools to go in what order. We started out in the warm sea salt pool. We were told that it helps eliminate toxins, helps replenish the body with essential minerals and restores equilibrium.

We then hit the steam room for 10 mins to relax, increase circulation, cleanse and tone the skin. All I know is it cleared my sinuses right out. We were careful to shower off toxins before hitting up the cold pool.

Ok let me just say this was not my favourite part and I had to bite my hand to get into the water. But we were told it increases your body's energy level and tightens pores. Our trainer Lyzabeth also talked about stimulating the lympatic system for metabolism woes. This was one painful minute.

After running out of that pool we chilled in the infrared sauna. This sauna provoked a sweating effect up to 3 times superior to traditional saunas, creating an in-depth detoxification of the entire body. What I really liked about the infrared sauna is that it didn't get as hot as normal ones but hot enough to relax in. Back in the cold pool. Brrr! Then off to the hot green tea pool. Drinking highly not recommended ;)

We were told the green tea pool is an excellent antioxidant, it increases energy expenditure and helps stimulate the immune system. It was simply divine after the cold pool. Which we had to do one more time before going back into the salt water pool. Now because we were there 2 hours we did the circuit 3 times.

I have never felt so revitalize and tired. My skin felt tight and great but my body felt like I'd dont an intense workout. I want to go back at least once a month! It's cheaper than a massage!
