I went to Boss Arts after receiving a very unflattering colour job from myl stylist of five years(which she was not able to fix). I was booked in with Robin after describing to the woman on the phone what had happened and what I hoped to receive. Upon arriving at Boss Arts I found the staff to be so professional, welcoming, and friendly. When I sat down with Robin I really felt like he listened to what I was saying and worked to create a look that was personalized. Throughout the appointment I found Robin to be extremely attentive and, precise with my hair. I could tell that he takes great pride in his work. He was so courteous to all staff and his clients. Even when I was finished the girl doing my blow dry confirmed the look that would best show the colour as well as what I wanted to look like when I left the salon.
I was so impressed with the service at Boss Arts, and my hair colour is amazing. The only downside to Boss Arts is that it is difficult to find parking nearby. Challenging parking aside, I sincerely look forward to the next time I need either a cut or to refresh my colour.
Years ago I had come to Boss Arts for waxing, and was equally satisfied then.
If you go to Boss Arts you will not be disappointed. It is a gem.

I had straight hair until I hit puberty, and since then it's been a frizzy, matted mess. Until very recently I had to flat iron my hair every day to get it into some semblance of its former straightness, and I never, ever found a hairdresser who could do anything for me. Then a couple of months ago I began searching for a stylist who knows curls, and after much review reading I finally found one hairdresser in all of Ottawa, for whom no one had a bad word to say.

Rene at Boss Arts has curly hair herself, and knows just how difficult it can be to take care of, especially if your hair has been damaged by stylists who only know how to cut straight hair. She gave me good advice about styling, and I was able to walk out of the salon without feeling self conscious about my curls, literally for the first time ever. This Aveda salon is very classy and welcoming - the staff serve you complimentary drinks while you wait your turn. The price was a little steep for my budget, but for such good quality it was reasonable.

It's been a few weeks since I got my hair done, and I still love it. I would definitely recommend Boss Arts to anyone who, like me, needs to tame their curls.
